Newcastle United Message Board
I have always had a soft spot for Newcastle. Going back to the Beardsley, Waddle, Gazza days, and on to Keegans first reign, the 4-3's with Liverpool which though we won, were games made classics by the attacking style of your team. I even have a passing interest now because of Michael Owen who I always root for.
No more though, as Saturday's introduction, and the general support for Joey Barton is outrageous. He is a vile man, who saw fit to come on smirking like the cat who got the cream. How much does it take for Football to have some dignity, and to cast out the worst of role models. Kevin Keegans lack of judgement is atrocious, allied to your chairman who saw fit to toast Bartons introduction by downing pints like the english hooligans on holiday in Ibiza or Ayia Napa. You have another vile violent thug as your director of football, an artha daley type in Dennis Wise, who has been given free reign to identify transfers and make them happen.
I would have thought Newcastle fans cared about the esteem the club was held in by other fans. I know a lot of fans who have a lot of respect for your club, the support, and the mantra of the club, and style of football.
Well no more. Surely as fans you could stand up to this. If Barton was a Liverpool player, he would never have played for us again. Have some dignity!!!!! It shames football not just NEwcastle.
bartons #$%$, its NOT a second chance! he has a whole list of #$%$ trailing behind him, just wish someone would give him a taste of his own medicine, he reeled round like a babay when nasri brushed his ankle awwwwwwwwwwww
I don't understand why people are still going on about this.
Newcastle have made their stand. There's nothing you can say or do about this now. Short of a mass exodus of fans (which the toon army will never, ever do), nothing will change the minds of the board. I mean, what're you going to do about it TiltonRoad? Complain on an internet message board? Oh No! How about booing him everytime he touches the ball? For sixty grand a week, I'm sure he can put up with it.
Bottom line is, you can compain about Barton as much as you want, you've now got to put up or shut up, and I for one will be glad when you stop bothering us about it.
