I thought it was a mistake to let Campbell go, as I felt he still had two good seasons left in him, although I accept that behind the scenes events might have led to his staying being untenable (will we EVER know exactly what went on there?!).
Likewise I felt it was a mistake to let Ralph go. My understanding is that he's still only 29, so Arsenal could have offered him a two year contract, although we don't know of course how much the 1 year lay off has affected his ability to perform at the same level as before. Assuming he could regain his former fitness level and awareness on the pitch, my view is that he would be a better right back than both Eboue and Hoyte. We should have held on to him.
