Arsenal Message Board
A game ruined by bad decisions.
I agree that Kos gave away the penalty...but a red card! ffs. This happens nearly every weekend, yet refs stop at giving the penalty. The red was not called for, but it changed the game dramatically.
Kompany's red was also harsh, but I did notice that Wilshere came in for a lot of hefty challenges. I like that in the majority of cases he gets straight back up and doesn't make a meal of it, but they will take their toll as the season progresses.
2-0 with 10 men for 85 minutes isn't a bad result against City.
Lesson learned though. Wenger needs to bolster the squad.
Yeah, i'm so obviously wound up, even though it is you following my every word and it is me sat here enjoying a rump steak ciabatta with onion, fresh rosemary, and dark french mustard, washed down with a nice freshly ground coffee.
Not sure i can take this 'battering'!
I hope you and all the other wound up glory supporters manage, somehow, to enjoy the rest of your day.

'What do you think the chances are of Wenger bringing in serious reinforcements? '
Slim, because there are extremely few quality players available, especially in this window and because those that would probably be of interest to Arsenal are also of interest to clubs with bottomless pits of money. Think Mata and Hazard and Van Persie.
'And what are our minimum needs in terms of positional reinforcement during this window in your opinion.'
A greater sense of confidence.
Now feel free to talk utter bollocks.
