The referee had a decision to make and he did not make that decision alone. He was in conference with his linesman while Nani was getting treatment (he didnt need). Although myself would have said it was a yellow card, if the referee deems it was dangerous play, then by the laws of the game it is a red card, no arguments its a decision he came to on conferring with the linesman. Why winge about it? get on with the game, The Special Ones Comments after the match were nice to hear from an opposing manager for a change, and Ferdinand should be punished for his antics around the ref at the end of the game
Morinho - "The best team lost"
ha ha ha ha ha ha ha Classic.
You won't find to many of my thousands of posts blaming the ref for any of our way too many disappointing results and guess you won't find too many proud Man U fans making excuses.
Having said that I do find it odd that so many English teams get f@cked over in the CL. Chelsea got robbed against Barca, RVP got a ridiculous red card against Barca which ended our hope of a miracle and last nights red card was ridiculous in my opinion.
Coincidence? Or do we watch too many PL games where the refs call the game different?
I'm very disappointed Man U lost would have loved a PL team to go far.
Maureen was soooo Angelina for a job at Man U when he made those comments. I don't think he will get the job though.

agreed john. dangerous play and by the rule book is a red card.
notice the English media have swept under the carpet the perfectly good goal chalked off for Madrid & also the clear pen for madrid & red card for Rafael.
utd players & managers behaviour towards the ref was a disgrace. as was rio's hand clapping in the face of the ref. total lack of respect.
