Arsenal Message Board
We're well used to Pixie's eight year yawn of an excuse for Arsenal failing to win anything since the early 17th century,' injuries', and this week he nearly won the 'Worst Excuse of the Week' award for claiming that Arsenal LOSING to United was PROOF that they, Arsenal, are the better team.
I say nearly, because Mr D A Banana beat him to it, by a country mile!
This is what he claimed ... "... against a side that had four main men out, plus two more in Mertsecker and Rosicky."
Get that? SIX 'main men' missing from the side that lost to United, SIX!
So I challenged Mr D A Banana to name the SIX, and to post a team-sheet including the SIX, as he would have played them.
I also reminded him of the players that were in the squad, to give him a guide.
W Szczesny, B. Sagna, L. Koscielny, T. Vermaelen, K. Gibbs, M. Flamini
J. Wilshere, M. Arteta, A. Ramsey, M. Özil, S. Cazorla, O. Giroud
N. Bendtner, L. Fabianski, N. Monreal, C. Jenkinson, S. Gnabry, I. Hayden
We are, of course, waiting for a reply that will never come, because Mr B A Banana knows as much about football, and Arsenal, as he knows about stopping his hair from falling out.
So, step forward Mr B A Banana, and collect your award .... 'Worst Excuse of the Week', and probably a contender, come next May, of the 'Worst Excuse of the Season' award.
Congratulations, you thoroughly deserve it.
I am so happy you exposed in depth after careful consideration these ridiculous excuses, anyone else might have missed these weakest of excuses. It is almost like saying, and correct me if I quote you wrong, "...That's for last season, when Rooney was carrying injuries and lack of form, ..." Injuries play no role in football ask Barca now that Messi is out for a few months.
And how can Fab even think that losing was proof that Arsenal was the better team. What a sloppy thinker.
At least you and I know that it was the manner in which Arsenal lost that showed they were the better team as does their league position show that after nearly one third of the season they have been the best team in the PL thus far, and their league position is the nearest thing we have to fact the rest is just opinion from highly biased fans something you and I can not be accused of.
Please keep monitoring for poor excuses these frauds should not go unexposed for what they really are.

"That's for last season, when Rooney was carrying injuries and lack of form"
This was in reference to a list of players of the year contenders, for last season, which Mr Banana was claiming was for this year, I was merely pointing out why Rooney was not on last years list, he was injured early on, got unfit, and lost his form, reasons, not excuses. I then made the remark that we should wait until the end of the season to see who makes the new list.
"At least you and I know that it was the manner in which Arsenal lost that showed they were the better team"
Wow, if only you had got this in earlier, you would have been a contender for the award!
How can the manner in which they lost, including not scoring, having no width, being shut down from their pretty passing game, and coming away with no points, prove they were the better team? The better team won, they scored more goals and won more points.
"as does their league position show that after nearly one third of the season they have been the best team in the PL"
Arsenal had the perfect start to the season, thrashed by lowly Aston Villa, very lucky to beat Spurs, who were by far the better team, and where you scored when Walcott was offside. You then faced the five bottom clubs. You haven't faced Southampton, City, Chelsea or Everton yet, and your one away game in the top ten you lost.
I can understand your excitement, after eight years of not even winning your own pre-season comp, but this is a marathon, not a sprint, you started well, beating minnows, but have since lost three of your last six games.
