Hernandez hits back at whinging Van Persie

Javier Hernandez says that no individual player at Manchester United is bigger than the team.

The striker posted a thinly-veiled message on Instagram today after Robin van Persie had branded the side's form as "lousy" and complained that his team-mates have been getting in his way and preventing him hitting top form.

The post read: "Without your team-mates you can't be somebody in football, always be thankful."

Van Persie was critical of his team-mates after United's humiliating 2-0 defeat by Olympiakos first leg of their last-16 Champions League tie.

The striker said they "occupied the spaces" that he likes to play in. He also branded the club "lousy", as well as joking that everyone should not be surprised by how they played on Tuesday night because they "didn't see us play in a while."

Former United midfielder Johnny Giles was angered by the comments, labelling the Dutchman a "prat".
"It can also show you Van Persie is a prat," Giles said. "In other words [to the comments] he is not at fault. Right, he's not at fault. And I watched the game and he never tried a leg."

This is getting real ugly at the Theatre of Dream.............. FIRST sign of trouble and RVP mouthing off in public, talk about kicking your team mates when they are down, ey! ......Good stuff, Robin, good stuff!

I'm glad they got rid of him at Arsenal.
