Are the Irish intellegent?
If the Irish are so clever, and I mean the Southern Irish, tell me why, in the years leading up to the potato famine did they plant the same crop in the same ground year after year?
Everyone knows that a practice such as this will lead to diseased crops.
Now they will tell you that the Brits made them do it, I ask you in view of the fact that the Brits had a negligible military presence in Ireland at that time, do you believe that old wife’s tale?
Also why during the famine did they export thousands of tons of food to England Scotland and Wales?
Another thing that I find hard to accept is their unwarranted criticism of the Black and Tans, a fine English regiment who all volunteered to go to Ireland in an effort to educate the natives.
A professor at UCAL has proved that the Irish are almost certainly one of the most intelligent of the sub-species and that they are nearly as articulate as a trained chimpanzee. This topic is deleted.
Nice one RooneysGimp.
Me ould gran worked in London as a nurse before WWII. Loved the place. I'm always back and forth over there, and I have to say the absolute majority of Brits are a decent bunch. One or two arseholes, but you get them everywhere, and few and far between in recent years.
I'd love to know who #$%$ on the other eejits breakfast! I personally ain't brought up the famine in at least the last 40 years, so what has gotten to Jeffrey is beyond me.
He must be living outside these islands, me thinks.
They might choose to spell the word intelligent properly, maybe......
seriously tho, i agree that Irish bleating about the potato famine so very many years ago is a bit hollow, and the evidence doesnt stand up to their claims, however, implying that the Irish are thick, belongs in the smoke filled working mens clubs of the 70s

Ok leap on me for a “typo”,
There is a lot of evidence that they seriously contributed to the problems associated with the potato famine.
As for the 70’s workingmen’s clubs what was wrong with them?
And just look on this board you will see that Irish jokes are still with us.
