For me, Schumacher's record is tainted. It's similar to what is going on in the U.S. with Barry Bonds, the baseball player who took steroids and now is breaking all kinds of records. Some people think Barry's acheivements should be celebrated and some think they shouldn't count. It's one of those gray areas where the answer is: it depends on how you look at it. I can't forgive Schumacher for his trick in Monaco, the Damon Hill incident, the Jacque Villeneuve incident, and stuff like that. To me, you're not a winner if you consistently cross the line in regard to sportsmanship. The ends do not justify the means for me. How you play the game factors into it.
