Tony Adams has been relieved of his position by Portsmouth, following a poor run of results, culminating in their fourth home defeat in a row against Liverpool, despite a strong display, unluckily losing through defensive errors, when it seemed their unhappy run was about to end in victory with 10 minutes to go.
Many names are being bandied about as a replacement, but Alan Curbishly has remained on many fans' lips.

    • Was always on the cards, TA should have resigned. Cannot sell the players they have done and expect ANYONE to perfom the miracle that was needed. It will not mean a thing bringing in a new manager.....shame nice club.

    • Strange timing. I feel sorry for him and pompey fans. If they were gonna sack him it would have made more sense to do it before the transfer window.

I hope they find their form soon, the premier league needs teams like pompey and the atmosphere their fans bring.

      • Pompey don't have the team they had last year. Big Adams didn't stand a chance. Club for sale, no wedge to spend, best players gone....need I say more. I agree with red, the fans and Adams deserve better but I think they'll get the drop and dissappear into mid table championship oblivion.

I hope big Adams gets a decent job in the game, for all his faults he's a nice bloke with a huge heart, to the pompey fans, look higher than TA to shoulder the blame for the state of your club.
