Sunderland Message Board
Bob Murray has invited bids for Sunderland so-
I'd like to offer him £30 quid for the whole team and £20 per month to use the stadium as an allotment to grow cabbages and leeks. Lets start the bidding off from here.
But this actually brings about a good question
Exactley what value does Murray put on his shares and the club as a whole? Because whoever comes in is going to have to take on the debt burden, therefore you should be able to buy the club for about £30! If he thinks he is going to walk away with millions then he is going to be there a long time.
The shares are not traded on the market anymore so they can't have gone up in any way

According to some of the reports, the club's value after relegation would be something like £3-4 million - but like you say, with the club not being a PLC any more the board of directors have the option of asking for more.
With the figure of £80m being mentioned, I can only assume that part of that fee would go towards paying off Murray's debts.
