I hope Kewell doesn't sneek in and get a starting place in the final.I know he went off injured 2 years ago but for me the reason he went off was more mental than physical. He isn't a big game player and b4 u know it you'll be using a valuable substitution far 2 early in the game.
Not a bad idea with Bellamy.I would personally start with the following...
Finnan Carra Agger Riise
Pennant Gerrard Masch Kewell
This gives us plenty of attacking width, which should hopefully avoid simply lumping it up to Crouch (something we have been guilty of this season).
Might be a bit risky on the defensive side however,as the 2 wingers are not known for their tracking back.My feeling is that Rafa will play it safe and start with Gerrard right side and both Mascherano/Alonso in the centre. If the game is tight then ok,if we are chasing then 1 of the 2 central midfielders will come off for a more attacking wide man.
We'll i am an Aussie and i luv Hazza byt i di have to agree !!!!! SHAME !!!! But he is going to be a big part of next season and i think he will reindle the form of the Leeds days !!! Bring on the EPL next season ! we will be champions
From the options available on the left...Kewell/Gonzalez/Zenden...I would have to say Kewell. Not my favourite player at all...it's just that the other two are hopeless.
An interesting problem for Rafa in Athens.
Good thing you are not a doctor. Would you have treated his torn adductor muscle with an anti-depressant? As far as being a big game player, I seem to recall a little tournament last summer that he played pretty well in.

Maybe my memory served me wrong,i seem to remember he had a injury that others would battle through and sort out after. After all,you don't play in a game like that everyday.I suppose some players you would have to drag off the pitch no matter how tired or feeling a knock they are (Gerrard) and others are not so tough. But like i say, maybe his injury was too serious to battle through,it just looked like he came off to easily to me.
I have to agree with Big, he is our best player when fit to play down the left and looked pretty good against Charlton very hungry indeed.
I think if he plays it would be his best game in a red shirt so far.
