...It is an nuclear timebomb, if they dont reach an agreement..
...the only recent one i recall was Makelele at Chelski...
Didnt Domenech insist on him for a match or 2 and Jose was doinghis pieces even though he had announced his retirement from Int. football...
..they then reached an agreement...maybe someone can confirm......!!!!
I think it's wrong that Stevie G should play with any injury.. and Rafa should decide if Stevie G is fit enough to play... McClaren has no business in going over Rafa's head..
It's not as if England is short of midfielders.. ok so what if Stevie G can't play McClaren will have to choose a different formation that suits the FIT players McClaren has available to him.. the priority should be club first then country second..
i hope SG does not play.
however, if SG does not play and england loses, mcclaren, and critics as well, will blame our skipper.
playing football with a broken hand, i understand the use of pain killers, but a broken toe? hmmm, i don't think so.

If we take what the LFC medics have said as true, then playing SG with injections will probably rule him out of the Russia game. so it seems good sense to let him heal a while longer and play him in the more difficult game.?????
Johngnomore, where are you hearing this? Last I heard is that the FA spokesman admitted Steive G did do a full training session with the squad yesterday, so was looking more likely to be in the team on Saturday, and without medical assistance.
While I personally don't think he should play with the help of a needle, I'm not sure its good news if he does not play. Origianal reports were it would take 2-3 weeks for him to return to play. If he's not ready by Saturday, then his injury maybe worse than orginally stated, or not healing as hoped, as he's not going past the 3 week recovery period.
While from a LFC perspective, we still have over a week before our next match, so time for Stevie to heal, I think its best for all to have a Stevie G who's fighting to play for both club and country.
