Liverpool Message Board
i had to say something after watching this game:
that was the lowest football quality that i've seen in a long time
martin jol, much fatter than rafa, is a disgrace to the EPL
so many blunders, missed passes, lack of ball skills, lack of tactics... the best attacking line in the EPL? LMAO
...trouble is against us on Sunday you know that Robinson will have a blinder...he's due one...or am i being unduly pessimistic...oh and the same goes for Johnson Sean...can't buy a goal ....come the derby!!!!!
I have to say (being a Villa fan) that although certain aspects of the game were not of the highest quality.................Either side would have smashed Liverpool out of sight had it been the Liverpool that showed up against Wigan in your last game.
Now that was poor. Good job it was only Wigan. 80% of the Prem would have scored 4 against you that day.
spurs look top heavy they have a strong attack and will cause problems but however they are weak at the back and dont seem able to control the midfield
buying a central midfielder who can win the ball and a new centre back may ease their problems
that said if they did go down, and players jumped the sinking ship which players would you like to see raffa snap up?
lennon and berbatov for me
Manohoo, did not see the game, so maybe you can fill in the blanks. When I saw the score line it gave me cause for pause as it seems that Spurs is able to create goals. Was this case of Spurs playing good attacknig football, or have Villa become that leaky in the back?

Villa leaked a few but Villa were denied a clear penalty for a Robinson foul and Spurs equaliser was scored with Defoe offside, and he did interfere with play so it should not have stood.
But thems the breaks,
robinson made 2 incredible mistakes: the first one, without pressure he drops an easy ball in the small box (goal), the second one was the goal between his legs... LMAO
spurs, and villa, have no deffense whatsoever, the defenders/midfielders don't know what to with the ball; to their credit they don't get any near-by support, so they have to opt for a long ball pass, most of the times without a chance to be controled by their team mates.
villa was a more solid team... until brilliant o'neil decides to play harewood (all muscle, no skills) and he commits the most stupid penalty of the season, basically running over the attacker... that was the 2-4... i think
the game was a shame, all that money spent on transfers and the only decent memories worth remembering were a few quality touches by berbatov; other than that, a 3rd division game.
