Liverpool Message Board
ok here goes we are not mathematically out of it yet however based on team selections and rafas tinkering we are so whats the worse case scenario
this could be it UEFA cup football and a fifth place finish in the league this year and that depends on us beating everton and man city slipping up between now and may
what we need is to put some distance between ourselves and the teams below us otherwise we will end up a laughing stock
how do we do this with the current crop of players they should be good enough but it seems they aren,t
ITS TIME FOR BIG CHANGES AT ANFIELD AT THEY NEED TO START AT THE TOP!!!!!!!
how long are we to accept lame excuses for a side worth 300 million plus
we backed benetiz against the americans isn,t it time he repaid the fans loyalty or our we just gonna let this guy pick up his paycheck and spoil our great club
i am sure there are a lot of fans feeling like i do well this is the final straw 20 years is to long
Has Rafa lost the plot completely ????
I watched the game on Sunday, like most Liverpool fans, with dismay. I cursed a Manchester City side who played at home that lacked any ambition, using only one forward in their line-up. And what happens tonight ? Rafa plays one of the bottom three sides at home with only one forward !!! Can someone please tell me what is going on ???? It is very frustrating to have Crouch and Kuyt on the bench for 85 minutes before they are brought on - much much too late to contribute positively to the game !! At homne you would like to think that the Reds are capable of scoring at least three goals against Wigan with a strong forward line ! What is happening to Rafa's judgement ???
John you was full of confidence when you was posting on the Utd board, teams don't just go bad over night, without being arrogant the current LFC team was not good enough from the start of the season, Hypia is finished, Carragher is a very good player for you but his legs are not getting any younger, so he might have to play in a slightly different style sooner or later, Torres is definetly a step in the right direction but you need another option and it aint Crouch, Rafa needs to stop pissing round with rotation, and Gerrrard is doing so much for the team he might eventually run himself out, or just get pissed of.

red as you probably know liverpool is my boy hood team and i was confident but that may have been blind faith
if utd were in the same position would you not be saying the same its not over til its over blah blah blah you get the idea
the reality is we are not good enough and things have to change
btw happy new year mate
John mate, we're wouldn't be mathematically out of it if we were 20 points off the pace with 7 games to go!
But common sense just has to prevail like you say.
We do not look capable of stringing a win of runs together that is desperately needed to get our chase back on track. Someone said it on another thread, that we win a couple - look like gaining momentum, then draw three or four. We have drawn 8 of 20 games so far this season, most of them at home! Just not good enough if we are to be title challengers.
We are not out of it mathematically, but realistically - and sensibly I think we are.

i agree 100% abu
but questions need to be asked how did we get into this mess in the first place someone has to shoulder the blame
is it rafas fault who knows is it the players fault have the americans unsettled the squad is the side not gelling
really the clubs owners owe it to the fans to sort this mess out and quickly
oh and happy new year mate
