Liverpool Message Board
i just come back of my holidays in portugal and jose was doing a tv interview this question was put to him.
would you manage a team back in england?
he said yes but don't know which team i go to becos chelsea wont have me and man u and arsenal wont get rid of the managers so it only leaves liverpool.
the presenter asked would you like to manage liverpool?
he said yes who wouldnt, its a big club thats been a sleep for to long.
presenter- if liverpool came today and said we want u to manage us now
jose- i can't not until next season
presenter- ok next season
jose- can't commet on that because they already have rafa (he said that with a big smile)
just to add to the speculation sources are saying mourinho has spent time around the nou camp in the past week or so
the reason for this being is he is apparently testing the water to see if deco and marquez are for sale
honestly you couldn,t make it up
i hope jose is not coming to LFC
the most likely scenario is that jose replaces rijkaard at barca et the end of the season. coaching deco, messi, ronaldinho, iniesta, henry and the alikes is more tempting (and lucrative!) to mourinho than LFC
That may have been a typo, but I don't believe he has bad blood with Man U. He and Ferguson seemed to get on well and I can't remember any spats between them. I can see him taking over there. I can't see anyone else from the English game filling Ferguson's boots except Wenger and there is no way he would go to Man U.
Think he's most likely to going to a club in Spain, but if he thinks he has unfinished business in England, his options mayb limited. As you said, Chelsea will not have him back, and too much bad blood with Arsenal and Man U. The next line of potential top 4 clubs maybe, but who has the money and a vacancy? Man C seem happy with Sven, Villa seem happy with O'Neil. Everton maybe trying to knock on the door, but where they going to get the money from?
QPR I know is not going to happen, but seeing the owners lined up in the directors box, and realizing just how much money they have, just made me think. Unlimited transfer money, a London based Club, what else could Jose ask for?
I don't like Jose to be honest but you can't argue the fact that he wins where ever he goes so if Rafa left would love to see him here but the fact is, with the limited funding for players that we have here Maureen would never come.

Jose is just keeping himself in the frame for every possible job that might come up. Like he did with the England job, he'll flirt with just about every position out there and the press love to inflame each situation. Jose is no more interested in coming to Liverpool than the average Liverpool fan is in having him here. I'd quite like to see us playing progressive football, which we will develop under Rafa in time, or if not under another forward thinking coach....Mourinho's style of play is as functional as a hole punch, and less attractive!
complete bollocks this thread i am afraid
go check portugals national papers and you will see he is heading for ac milan and just to confirm this he has said he will take over next summer and the first player he wants is DIDIER DROGBA and milan are currently looking to pay around 40 million for him
he has also stated in the press he wants to leave chelsea next year
If Rafa does go then yes I could see Jose coming here. However because of our cashflow restrictions I don't think Mouriniho will like that... as he'll wanna spend and spend big on big name players.. and H&G won't let him !!
