Last season we were able to count on crouch in breaking down teams that came to anfield to defend.
And That was a simple solution for us and it worked many times, Now it seems we are difinding difficult to find space and panicking with lack of options..
is there a solution to this?
Lets move on regarding Crouch !! He's gone now and thats that... besides we've Torres and others if we need height in the box..
It would've been nice to have kept a few players we sold. ie. Garcia, Baros spring to mind.. also Owen..
Lets hope we get someone decent in January..
You are right, we are missing Crouchie, but he's gone so Keane has to get his a*rse in gear and start f*ckin delivering. If he carries on the way he has been, maybe we should give Babel a go, even though I think he is a lazy b*stard who should have his ass kicked for his performances this season.
Turkey slapp...yes there is a solution ..get rid of the :master tactician/ and employ anybody else. ANYBODY would do better how about Roy Keane hes availbale today. Who sold Crouchie ?Who is now totally unable to find an answer to sides that come here inferior sides who simply park the bus in the goalmouth ?
Newcastle were incrisis and brought in Joe Kinnear on a temporary contract something like this would do nicely. Joe for example would KNOW how to use such a talented squad as we currently have and get the BEST out of it.

At last someone agree with me on Rafa. I like Rafa, he is a much better coach than our previous few but I think he is already at his limit. He can't deliver the title for us as well. But I wouldn't fancy Roy Keane though. I think Sven is a better coach, Mexico is calling for his head now.
Keane's dismayed performances in almost every matches he played this season is the reason why the we have found it hard to score goals especially when Torres is not playing. We bought Keane to score goals for us primarily. He is also a seasoned premier league player. He should have adapted to our style of play by now. He has no sympathy from me for his inept performance thus far.

Keane is one sort of player who needs good support from the midfield. And he is good in the box but we can't even cross into opponent's penalty box for most of our games. We need a player like Riera who can penetrate and run at defenders.
I think you're right. Probably the worse bit of man management from Rafa was treating Crouch the way he did.
As far as replacements are concerned Heskey is back on the market in January but do we really need to move backward? Are there any other players anyone would recommend? Remember money is tight. ;oD

For man management, see Robbie Keane, and Ryan Babel. I don't understand why it is Rafa has bought these players if he doesn't believe in them.
For me Babel needs a run of games, and he will show his worth. The lad is quality, and to see Benny starting ahead of him, and Ngog coming on before him last night must beggar belief.
Robbie as well was right to be frustrated. Noone is telling me Robbie wouldn't have caused more late problems than Ngog, despite looking out of sorts again.
I think we've got big problems, and that dodgy month is coming. I do actually think we'll lose at the weekend, but there you go.
In Rafa I trust, and I really do, but I don't understand his thinking AT ALL!
