Why replacing Alonso with Aqualani is not such a bad thing

I hope Aqualani is gonna be worth it... with the money that was spent on an injured player.. as he was and an unknown to the EPL.. Much is expected of Aqualini.. I just hope this "class made of glass" claim made by Roma fans isn't true.. or isn't as bad as they say. Or I fear he'll be in the treatment room more than on the pitch..

So time will tell I guess.

At least for now our league position isn't too bad.. Aqualini may set the EPL on fire and he could be the bargain of the season.. Lets hope so...

    • I remember a long long time ago (1956) Liverpool shelled out the princly sum of £12000 on a welsh international centre forward called Des Palmer. In his last match before injury he'd scored a hat-trick but was just recovering from a cartledge operation when we took the chance to sign him up..........he never ever played for our first team. At the end of that season the manager that signed him got the bullet too. Dear oh Dear.....still it wasnt too long after that we got Bill Shanks.....omens?

    • Agree with almost everything but I don't think Aquilani will move into Gerrard's position ever. That's just not what he is. He is a central midfielder with an attacking mentality but not pacy or adventurous enough to play as a forward.
