Armchair, correct me if I'm wrong but are you now actively saying you want Kenny out as Manager? If so then be honest about it. I and many won't agree with you, but nit picking about his legend status or such is not an honest approach if you've made up your mind. And to be honest I don't think you can say he or anyone’s legend status has gone, unless you are already saying he's failed.
So are you saying he's a failure? If so what is the measure of why he's a failure? Is it because he could not (as seems likely) get us a top 4 finish? Is it because in your opinion the players he brought in are not in their first full season proving to be world class players, or at least the very best in their position in the league? Or is there something else you can quantify?
But maybe I can offer you a different thought. I'm not going to call you a closet manc, I know your not. But I will say I think you have an overinflated expectation of what is possible, or even what is acceptable not to be considered a failure.
Put it this way, I doubt you'll find a single LFC fan who is completely happy about our season so far. I expect like you and me most reds hope for everything, but not all expect it, at least no instantly.
Is winning the first silverware in 6 years, refreshing the playing staff with a new generation, and improving the technical display on the pitch enough? Is it what we dreamed of last August? I doubt it, but is it failure?
Dsteer what I am is a frustrated LFC fan who feels it's about time we started destroying teams on a regular basis..
Thats the team I remember.. This is isn't the LFC I knew and loved as a boy.
We seem to be accepting mediocre football and think it's fine and make excuses..
Stuff like "we're doing better", "we're improving", Improving from what? We were getting 4th place in the league for a few seasons..
So tell me how is losing games and not scoring goals that we get on target improving?
Tell me how?
Maybe yes I'm impatient, only because I love LFC passionately, and yearn for the glory days where teams feared us.
It's laughable when I get called a manc or stupid shit like that..

Armchair what you call excuses most people see as reality.
Sit down for a second and just remember the state of the club was in at the end of the H&G era. I don't care if you blame Rafa or the Yanks for where we were, but the facts are we were a club in almost free fall.
Many of our top players like Alonso, Masch were running for the exits, followed by Torres. They could see the club was not investing so wanted to move on to clubs that did not just talk about ambition, but actually invested in the future. Net spending was negative, and league position falling. Under Roy we were a gnat’s hair off the relegation zone. The only players willing to come to us were those on free transfers that few if anyone else wanted, but who still demanded high wages.
So explain why pointing out that we've progressed from where we were, not to where we want to be eventually, but at least a step forward is an excuse? And again explain how from where we were you expect us to progress further than any other club in recent history, and do it by spending less than those who have tried to progress with a hefty use of cash?
Armchair, the definition of 'improving' is being better than what you were......the football we play is a million miles away from the negative cr@p we had to put up with when Hodgson was manager, the club is stable, as you rightly say we've got a few quid and we are not going to be booted out of Europe coz of breaking financial fair play rules, and we do have - whatever you think about it - got some silverware in the cabinet.
If the FA Cup joins it, then assuming that everyone knew we weren't going to win the league, then we have had an ultra successful season because we will have won everything that we realistically could. Big ifs again but I think it is more than possible for us to win the FA Cup. This could be a truly great season! If we win the double, it will really stand those underperforming players (and we all know who they are) in good stead, because success becomes a habit.
Last night will benefit us in the long run because they will realise that you cannot switch off for one moment in the league, or you get butchered every time!
What is one more year? We've been in the wilderness for 5 years and getting rid of Kenny now would mean that this project has not been seen through. He needs to get more quality in this summer. We've been promised quality by Comolli, lets see if it happens.
No not quite a failure but close to it.. I'd sooner trade our League Cup for a 3rd or 4th spot in the league any day..
If we win the F.A Cup I'd say thats somewhat of an improvement of sorts..
The bread & butter of a club team is the league & the titles.. Cup wins are a bonus.
I'm saying kenny's legendary status is intact as afar as the last time he was our manager. Thats not in dispute.
I dispute some of the players he's signed are average to say the least.. The only 2 players who should remain is Downing & Suarez out of the ones that are playing in the first team.
Look at the league results they don't lie.. Our position in the league is poor.
Now don't get me wrong I like Kenny and like many I was delighted he was coming back.
I hope I've egg on my face next season assuming Kenny is still here and we're flying in the league..
That would be ideal and would remind me of the LFC I knew and loved as a boy.
Since 1990 we've become a shadow of our former selves..
People are willing to dispute with me.. Thats fine.
Wowee so we beat a team that was 6th in the Championship and barely beat them at that.. We couldn't beat them in 90mins.
We should've destroyed them if we had better players..

"Wowee so we beat a team that was 6th in the Championship and barely beat them at that.. We couldn't beat them in 90mins."
What about beating Stoke, Chelsea & Man City away to even have the right to turn up to our first outing at Wembley in years? Does that not count or is it all undone because we needed penalties to beat Cardiff?
Seriously, if you're going to be critical at least try and be fair.
Armchair, be honest, you don't want egg on your face, you want Kenny gone now. That is what your saying is it not?
As for only beating Cardiff, do you not think its an accomplishment to beat Stoke away from home, beat Chelsea away from home, beat Man City over two legs, as well as the lower league teams we had to overcome, all away from home. I suppose that was nothing.
I'm not paper over cracks, as another poster would say. There are cracks and the league position tells us that. The question is who and how to best fill them in with a solid foundation.
You don't think that is Kenny fine, but be honest and up front about that. But let me tell you one that as near a certainty as you can get in football, it will take money and time. The more money we have may help us speed things up, but nothing can happen overnight or in a single season.
