Wasn't Carroll the only one of the strikers listed that could be called 'established' in the EPL before moving to their current clubs?
Think that makes his numbers look even more damning.
Still he deserves another season.
Yes but only for half a season in the prem. It was the year in the championship I think that got people excited about his potential. The question is were all those experts who rated Carroll not just Kenny wrong or when is he likely to reach his potential on a consistent basis?

Well football is a cutthroat business.. if you're a player such as a defender and especially a striker.. You're expected to do what you're paid for and thats score goals.. Carroll isn't doing what he's been paid to do IMHO.
Especially as he was our record signing too. Which is even worse.. That transfer fee can't be taken out of the equation whichever you wanna swing it.
I just don't think he's the player that suits us and our style. Yes he's strong as was his previous owner of the No.9 shirt. Unlike his
predecessor who knew how to score.. Carroll couldn't ever score as many goals as it would take to justify his pricetag, unless he suddenly became a goal machine, which I sincerely doubt..
