FSG don't HAVE to do anything. We we're a day from administration last season, and they saved us that fate...yes they did it because they got us at a steal in the end, and they knew they could make money out of us, but don't for a minute think that FSG have to do anything for the fans, they own the club and can do what they like.
To be quite honest if I was FSG, I'd look at the situation and think 'what have we done'. I've appointed the fans favourite as manager and they still aren't happy, we've spent £40m net on players, and sanctioned huge money for players the manager and director of football wanted, based on their reccomendations, yet we are getting flack for the flawed judgement of the afore mentioned fans favourite, we need the CL to fund the borrowing for the new stadium, but have fallen a million miles short, and now what do we do.
In terms of Kenny they are damned if they do and damned if they don't. Their worst decision, the monumental error, was appointing Kenny as manager. They knew not to, but couldn't resist the will of the fans, and the feelgood factor it brought for a time. Their reservations were correct though, and they are stuck with a manager they can't dispense with, and a team that needs investment, but they can't trust the incumbents to spend the moeny wisely.
It's difficult all round to be fair to them.
I disagree side, if you say you are going to do everything to win the league, and then only spend 30 odd million to get it, as far as I'm concerned that's a broken promise.
Do what you say you're gonna do, that's all I ask. I will know what the owners intentions are by August, we all will!
I presume they did they're homework on LFC before they bought us and our history?
Thing is it depends what kinda owners they're gonna be?
Be ones that spend generously on very good players.. or spend as little as they can get away with..
Yes they cleared the debt. However clearing the debt was necessary in order to buy the club I suspect.
I can see both sides of this.
Do they trust the current manager with huge sums on players? Are they planning to replace him anyway?
If the latter is true then they'll give him little in terms of money.
However if they're sticking with KD then how long for?
They're the only ones who know that.
We all know we need huge investment still I suspect FSG do too. lets not forget FSG aren't familiar with football. They went with KD on the assumption of keeping the fans happy I suspect.
Now they've seen KD isn't that good and the fans were potentially wrong. I would imagine they'll be looking for a replacement?
