Rodgers ruling himself out got me thinking - are the owners going about this in the right way?
Every man and his dog has been mentioned, and contacted with invitations for an interview.....I mean, its not exactly a shelf-stacking job at Tesco's is it.
They should do their research internally, and then offer the job to whomever they see fit. Can you imagine them asking Guardiola or Mourinho to an interview? - they would be told to p*ss off!
FSG should go on record and make a statement of who they wish to speak to about the position and not beat about the bush, too many speculations are going around and nothing definite but hey this is the Internet. It is to be expected these days.

Why should they make it known who they want? That would then alert or put people off.. no it should be done behind closed doors then announce it at a press conference who the manager is.
And remind us all how poor Dalglish has done in recent seasons?
Was shit at Newcastle and was sacked, goes to Celtic and was sacked.. oh yea comes back to us as manager and what happened? Can you guess????
Oh yea he was sacked !!
So you're wanting a manager whose been sacked in recent years is that right?
Get in the now.. Dalglish isn't the hero he was back in the 80's..
He's out of touch with the modern game.. hence why he was sacked 3 times !!
As far as I know FSG has not published a list of people they have asked to interview, or plan to interview. Rather the press has, as usual, linked every Tom, Dick and Harry, but that does not mean they are on FSG's short list.
All we know for sure is that Wigan confirmed Martinez has been cleared to talk to LFC, and Rodgers has not. Everything else right now is speculation. Some of the speculation may have some truth to them, but as usual the vast majority does not. Just wait, if there is no news soon, and the press can't get a decent link they will link us with Curbishly, then you'll know its all made up.
Lol when you put it likem that they're inviting every Tom, Dick & Harry for the job lol..
Why not just have a shortlist of a few candidates who're good mangers and would progress LFc further.. Rather than have an open invite for interview to whomever enquires?
So far AVB has been offered the job and that was 2 wkks ago.. he's mulling it over.. Supposedly..

That's also the danger of relying on media reports. In the absence of official statements from the club, agents will throw in names to try and market their 'clients' so to speak. I gather the biggest source of so called rumours are the agents. So until the club makes an official statements I will take all speculation as just that, speculation......
