On a daily basis Armchair especially, and to a certain extent Colin, question the owners' suitability. They don't spend enough, they only want to make money out of the club. Is this true?
I have 3 questions in view of this. Lets settle it once and for all if possible:
1) How much has the acquisition of the club and transfers plus other sundries cost them?
By my reckoning its about £500 million in 2 years. Does that sound like an uncommitted owner?
2) How much have they taken out of the club?
I do believe the accounts show the owners have taken a big fat zero out of the club in their tenure? Does that sound like the Glazers? In fact not only have they put money in, they have written-off some losses too.
3) Are they backward in coming forward with transfer funds?
Well, they've spent at least £60 million now since the summer, and if Brendan can bring in the other player he wants next week, that figure will rise. Why do we only have to have marquee signings? Suarez wasnt a world-class player when he signed, he has developed into one.
All of this whilst keeping the club overdraft down to 3 million smackers for running costs. Not bad at all in my book. I don't know how anyone can moan about it to be honest.
Loki...Im afraid Im a naturally suspicious person. I wont argue with u figures,Im not an accountant. If things are as u say then all I can say is,..great.
I was suggesting being a little more generous in disposition to armchair sofa or whatever piece of furniture he currently is fond of . Why ? Well...cos its clear to me hes one of us hes a FAN. We all get frustrated with results me PARTICULARLY after losses to UniTURD and I spose I do vent a bit then. Im not a fan of American ownership and maybe Im a bit prejuidiced that way again mea culpa. But look at Kraft @Arsenal Glazers @ UniTURD Randy Lerner @Villa each a horror show in their own way plus look,at the Gruesome Twosome THE TOXIC TEXANS who somehow got their fangs into us ???
I havent suggested the FSG should sell BRS I lived inUS long enough to know thats defo a non starter. I only suggested that if they were genuinely rich and benevolent owners it would even if u do the accountancy be pos to build a new MEGA STADIUM 80,000 seater profit from that stadium not just through football but multi purpose useage for sufficient yrs after its construction is completed then get their money back ...EASILY with the appreciation of FRANCHISE LFC over the yrs of their ownership....the stadium is part of their assets nobody seems to have tippled to that I mean they wouldnt be throwing in the new stadium free to any buyer would they? Anfield is theirs to sell u sell it and the money u realize from sale is coming straight back to u against u outlay of having built the new stadium. Ive heard plenty of reasons why they cant build a new mega stadium but not much in the way of an arguement in favour of it... well...Im arguing in favour of it..thats all.

Look, I would love a stadium with 80,000 scousers scaring the opposition half to death. We all would I think. However, not at the cost of the club getting into debt again and being on the edge of the financial cliff. No way.
What my point of this was for those who are not Fsg fans is this:. What does a good owner look like? Is it Abramovich? Chelsea is hardly a stable club with virtually a manager every year on average - I want to us to build something, and the only way of doing this is to have continuity, not a different idea every season. Is it to be like City. To be fair they have been patient with their manager and bunged a few quid in, I think they do want to build something, including community stuff. I'm not aware of Abramovich being very community minded.
Anyway back to FSG. How much should they be spending on transfers? Should they throw another £500 mil into the kitty for a fantasy stadium which essentially will never pay for itself except for a paper value? Think what your house is worth. It doesn't mean anything unless you flog it, and I don't think they want to do that.
Anfield has 4 stands right?
We've got connections with Chevrolet maybe they could have naming rights to a stand and they'd fun the cost or part fund the build of it?? As well as other businesses LFC has connections with?
Each then approached if they'd wanna fund the cost of building a stand.. with their logo's on each stand..

Ok our sponsors are Warrior, Standard Chartered, Chevrolet, Thomas Cook SPORT, Paddy Power, Garuda Indonesia, Jack Wolfskin, Bank Of America, Maxxis, Lucozade, Park Inn.
We know Standard Chartered & Warrior are main sponsors.. but maybe the others I've mentioned could then pay for new stands or pay for part of the stands to be re-developed..
With their logo's visible.. That might be a way forward.. Extra advertising for them and we in turn get our stadium expanded.
