The fact that we could and perhaps should have won yesterday is an extremely prudent point.
To come away from the Etihad with a deserved 3 points having spent considerably less than City and still do when you compare the wage structure SHOULD I hope (maybe) give Armchair a little comfort in what the club's trying to achieve.
You could argue that City have finished their building process and are now trying to restructure to get the wage bill under control. I think they'll suffer for it. Perhaps yesterday wa evidence of that whereas I'd like to think we're still in the middle (or perhaps even at the beginning) of our journey.
