Actually I was quite impressed with Borini's goal. I grant you that Newcastle were having a bad day, however I saw some intelligent running from the Italian. He moved himself into the 6 yard box taking his marker with him, then just dropped back 2 or 3 steps to get himself open for Downing's cut back. Also on first glance it did look like just a stab with the toe, but on the replay it looks like he actually poked it with the outside of the foot to push the ball wide left of the Newcastle keeper, so not sure if it was just luck, or by design. But most of all I thought the looks on his teammates told the real story. They looked made up for the young Italian who whether you like him or not, you have to concede has had a rough season when it comes to injury.
