    • Dear o dear....you are really clutching at straws now Jabba. Getting braver too cos u won a couple of games...I bet u r even back on the United board giving it the large one...O well, it takes different strokes doesnt it.

At least we have our two performing monkeys back again....come Jabba & Geordie bloke...dance for us

    • I love these anti-Woodgate all of a sudden.

When he signed for Boro, you lot totally lorded it at the NUFC fans because he didn't resign at SJP.

But within the blink of an eyelid he left his hometown club, but its a good attempt by the smoggies to hide the embarresment of Woodgate jumping ship.

    • You got to feel sorry for someone on Lemon Barley. Clearly he was not thinking straight.

You down the Hogan or Emerald tonight?

    • Both wrong ! .....my mole on the dole, informs me that during his time in Spain, the warm climate and hanging around with David Beckam had in fact turned our Woody into a SOFT SOUTHERNER

Details first emerged when shortly after his return (in a sarong!) he ordered a “Lager top guvnor” at the players bar. Soon after he was displaying further blatant Southern behaviour, when on a Saturday night out in Redcar, he was unable to observe the strict Teesside dress code of only a T-shirt in winter. Woody tuned up in sheepskin coat only to be shunned by the purple-armed local folk. His response was “Jog on you Muppets” and a tuneless Chas & Dave rendition followed by “ Knees up mother Brown” and “roll out the barrel”

Lately secret tapes were found from an interview with the evening gazette…..Woody was clearly heard confessing that he was “rumbled in the nuclear sub paying some geezer a ton for some snide lemon Barley”

Frankly, it was no surprise to me when he signed for Spurs.

    • i would have loved to have had him back here.but if the story in the sunday sun is to be believed, that he didnt come back coz shearer hasnt took the no2 job,i find that the strangest reason not to join a football club.

      • We do seem to have a glut of good centre backs at the moment ..Huth & Wheater are playing well together, Pogatez is back from injury and Woodgate would have to be on top form to keep his place.
I for one will miss him though as he has contributed well to the team & hasn’t had too many injuries during his time here, he has probably been a good influence over the younger squad members too, especially defenders such as Wheater who can only have learned from him.
I have no idea as to why he opted for Spurs...I was sure he was going back up the road to Newcastle. Somehow I don’t believe the #$%$ the papers were saying on Sunday...stating his reasons as not going to Newcastle were due to Shearer's refusal to help Keegan. Mind you with his injury record, the last thing NUFC want is another player on the injury table...their physio is busy enough as it is.

Anyway good luck to him on his next job.
