I, and a couple of other regular contributors to this board, have advocated an older, wiser, campaign hardened person be brought in alongside Southgate to fill in the gaps in his CV. It is getting critical now and may even be too late to do that. There are 42 points left to play for and Boro are going to have to secure a minimum of half of these to avoid the drop. Steve Gibson will have an eye on the transfer window which ends in 14 days time and will be considering if a new manager is brought in to replace GS how to give an opportunity to the new man to enter the market for new players. However, let us consider one fundamental point who is available to Mr Gibson to replace GS?
