    About Bloody Time

At last Gibson's got his act together and shifted the intensley boring Southgate. He'd have been sat there talking Horlicks for the next 20 fuskcing years if they'd let him. Totally tactictly unaware, never be a manager-- good PR for some club or the FA.

    • You have no idea . Gareth is a 100% professional in everyting he puts his hand to. He is by far the better man to but The club back into the Premier division.I just hope the top man has the guts to admit his mistake and throw the idiot self centred Scot out.

    • For the sake of the supporters, the players, the manager, and the media, Steve Gibson needs to publically state unequivocably " We do not need to sell any players to finance any new players coming in in January. No players will leave Boro unless they are surplus to our requirements and our objective of securing promotion this season". We do not need clubs such as Wigan and Everton, to name but two, unsettling Adam Johnson and he in particular needs to be told, as was Downing, there is no possibility of you leaving until June at the earliest.

    • Funny thing is he didn't see it coming -" It came as a complete surprise!" I would have thought that a 5-0 home defeat might have given him a bit of a warning.

    • No splinters from sitting on the fence where you`re concerned then H. Like you say nice bloke but never a manager. He never seemed to have any fire in him in my opinion.I read in the press on Sunday that M`boro are £85 million in debt and that Gibson was aware that those debts would be sure to grow on gates of less than 20,000. It looks like the fans have voted with their feet and got what they wanted.Could this be the way forward for our lot ? Having said that we`ve lost a similar number ( 8,000 ) of paying customers without persuading that nice Mr Ashley to clock out.Cheers H. Good luck with your feisty Scottish dwarf.

      • Hey up Davey lad, wise words as usual. I reckon some of our players could benefit from a swift kick in the #$%$ from a feisty Scottish dwarf, at least he will have more touchline presence than Southgate..who most times showed as much fire as a glass of water. Yes it can be argued that his track record is nothing to shout about..but at least he HAS been around the track a few times and hopefully we will benefit from his previous experiences at Coventry, Southampton etc.
As for our fans..Cant blame them not turning up after being stuffed 5 nil by West Brom and then having to listen to GS talking about "taking positives away from that defeat" and "showing that we can move on" Southgate had a fair chance, 3 years in fact when many Chairmen would have sacked him long ago.
It is the fans that ultimately pay players wages and keep the club running so its good to see Gibson listening to public opinion.
Good comeback from your mob on Saturday btw.
