Not the type of news/stories you thrive on but here you go..and remember when he signed he was on verge of French national team and their manager jaques the frog santini had a pop at him not signing for one of big four -also a reminder how unlucky we were re injuries - he'd had no previous injury record........
Julien Faubert is hopeful his injury nightmare is over and the Frenchman is ready to make a name for himself next season.
The versatile player, signed from Bordeaux last summer, picked up a terrible Achilles rupture during his very first friendly game with The Hammers that wasted his first season in The Premier League.
24-year-old Faubert only appeared seven times in the top flight, but assumes him and team-mate Craig Bellamy will bounce back to better form next term.
The one-time France international vows to repay Alan Curbishley for his patience and believes the East Londoners can compete for silverware next season.
“Craig and I have been very unlucky,” Faubert said. “I hope Craig and I be luckier this season with injuries and that our pace can help the club into European places.
“I think we have we have great players and a great team. I think we can play very well and play for the first six places.
“We also have the players here to win a cup too.
“The supporters and the manager have been patient and waited for me. Now I hope I’ll have no more injuries and I’ll be able to play very well for West Ham.”
