I would have loved Leicester to have won it at Man U. That would have been brilliant but it was great the way Chelsea didn't buckle against Spurs. There's no way Chelsea were going to let them win that match. lol. I think everyone was a Leicester fan that night. I was watching the snooker but had one eye on the Chelsea match. Not that I wanted Selby to win. lol. Like you say, it gives every other team hope but I bet it'll be a long, long time before we see anything like that again.

Prince hadn't been well for a while. Just a bit under the weather. I wonder if it was a heart attack brought on by not being well? There are too many popping their clogs around my age. No wonder I'm getting paranoid.

I see their looking into the conduct of the same police force during the miners strike. They should look into the police during the fox hunting protests as well. Some of them are just nutters. You get them everywhere and the police are no different. You just need a few bad apples and it tarnishes the whole lot. A bit like Line of Duty. lolol.

I've stopped all spending now Grim. No 3d tv's or the such like for me.Looks like you dodged a bullet with the dvd player. I would have been caught with that as I'm not savvy in any of this new technology. lol. There's just nothing I want now. The house is all but finished, I've bought a new car and I can't even go away on a nice holiday because of the dogs. I'm going to have to start putting them in kennels for short spells to get them used to it. They just follow me everywhere now though and they always know when I'm going out and expect to go wherever I'm going. Taking them around the shops just isn't going to happen though. lol

I've got a bad, bad feeling about the FTSE. It just can't hang onto any decent gain. It's as if the big boys are driving it up just to sell off every day. I can see a big, big drop if BREXIT happens.

Well, you with your car and me with my TV, both having fun with our new Boys Toys lol - how is it running Moon? Corners like its on rails is an expression I hope springing to mind? I had to get a new clutch for our old KA, goodbye £500, hello F1 take offs from the line lolol - it is seriously sensitive compared to the 14 year old one I had broken in over time - will take a bit of getting used to.
So glad we have got an Easter weekend coming up early - need a break from work already lol - Auditors have been okay, but always waiting for the sword of Damacles to fall on me. Talking of which, looks like we will have a new FD by the end of June, so hoping with notice period, I'll at least have a job until September, and then if a VR/CR comes my way, we will be okay. Now that I have this new TV I don't care, can spend all day in PJ's, eating last nights pizza, and enjoying 3D movies. I'll tell you what though, watching Freeview HD, its like the characters and scenery are in the room with us, or at least behind a window, the clarity is phenomenal, even better than I expected. The curved business does add depth to scenery somehow and all, plua the TV recognizes light levels in our room, and auto-adjusts colours and contrast accordingly - utterly amazing technology!
Hope your longs have been hovering up profits? Bit weird yesterday though, Dow and all Euro indices were well up, but FTSE was down - what was all that about? Did UK PLC get downgraded re EU vote? Think that will be like the Scottish referendum, folk too afraid of consequences of change, and Govt can scare-mon vote their way - FTSE will go down, polls will say an exit is on the cards, and then hey presto, UK votes to stay in and big surge for the FTSE - now that's magic as Mr Paul Daniels used to say RIP. Remember Warhol said everybody will have 15 minutes of fame? Well know it seems every 15 days someone famous leaves us. Bye bye Cliff Michelmore as well, only remember him from travel progs.
    Enjoy your Slam

    Question: Gut feeling from longs?

    by Joseph Feb 9, 2016 19:26

How many shares would be a good starting point to buy now,and at what price? I have been following this company from the beginning but only now have the funds to start buying. I think it will only keep going higher! I have been in the medical field for years and like the whole concept and development of this product. I have worked in the OR and can see how TRXC products will be a contender in the Robotic Surgery field. FDA to approve soon??? or will J&J buy them? or maybe even GOOGLE!!!

Yes, it's all a distant memory now. You'll have to start planning your next holiday and that'll make you feel better. lol. I think the idea of going back to work after your holiday is always better than the reality. You just know that you'll return to something that someone else couldn't be bothered to do because they knew you were coming back. That's why I always had a sick feeling a couple of days before the end of my holiday and it always spoilt the end of the holiday for me. That's all a distant memory for me though. Very distant. lol. Can't believe I've been retired over 7 years and I'm still a couple of years off 60.

Man City have done the dirty on Pellegrini by the sounds of it but he took it all in his stride and doesn't sound in the least bit bitter. Maybe he got a fantastic payoff to step aside. I like the rumours that Man U are in talks with Pochettino. The Spurs fans are cacking themselves. lol. I still think it's Mourinho they'll go for though. Seems strange he's been very quiet and hasn't already gone somewhere. He must be waiting for Man U to approach him, if they haven't already done so.

The markets are just getting ridiculous. I think they're driving for a bear market and they're going to get one by the looks of it. To go from 7000 down to 5600 so quickly is just astonishing. Believe it or not, the charts aren't even showing as oversold so how they've fiddled that I'll never know but it means there's a lot more room for a drop. I'm just buying all the way down to wherever it goes. The UK government have kindly said everyone who has interest on their savings of £1000 or less from April will receive the interest free of tax (that's in addition to the ISA allowance) but surprise, surprise, the banks are dropping the interest rate from that date. It's just ridiculous. Give the savers some interest on their money and they'll spend it. Simple. It's no good trying to force the banks to lend money to people who can't afford to borrow. Drives me mad

All these tv's blu rays and even computers all seem to be cheap these days compared to a couple of years ago. My problem is that I hang onto everything until I can't repair it anymore and end up with loads of old tat. lol. Most of my computers are windows XP and my newest computer is windows 7.....I only got that because my ladyfriend was going to chuck it out when she got her windows 8 computer. lol. Another couple of years and I'll invest in a new tv..

The car is a great little car. It has to be used for long runs so I only use it to go to Newcastle to pick up and drop off my ladyfriend. Having said that, I gave the little roadster a run out today just to drop her off. I hadn't used it for a couple of weeks son it was it'sa turn today. lol. It's difficult fitting in a turn for the cars because I don't go out that much. I wish I had what I had now about 20 years ago. You build up your money and possessions over a lifetime and then you don't have enough time left to enjoy them.

It was a pity about Paul Daniels. I always like him but I don't think he got the recognition he deserved when he was alive. We have people like Dynamo and Troy but his sleight of hand was every bit as good as theirs but he did what they did 20 years ago. I liked that his last words were to his wife and he just said 'I love you'. Brilliant.

There's only one way for me to go with the FTSE and that's to buy any dip. I don't care where it goes down to because I'll just put more money in. The banks are laughing even harder at us now so my money is going into the markets at every opportunity. It's the only way to get a decent return these days. Keep looking for your bargains Grim. It's the only way.

Another shocker in Belgium. There's no end to it now.

  • Seriously, grow up. The postings on this board over the past year or so have completely trashed it. You two included. No one gives a #$%$ for your constant biatchin BS. Like 2 bored biatches trying to sniff the others #$%$ whilst trying to swallow the last turd you ate. Truth is really no-one gives a #$%$ about you or the other, so go on stick your tail between your legs and leave the board. Why don't you start your own board. OPPIE DOG AND THE #$%$ the you can go at it all day long like the pathetic crust suckers you are. Or maybe meet up, get a room and suck each others balls for a week in the aim of getting over it.
Am so completely done reading this trash that I'm writing this in the aim of being blocked completely by trashy Yahoo board with the follow up aim of actually convincing myself never to read this board again. It's completely pathetic and beyond belief that you two are still going at it like anyone gives a monkeys. Complete Muppets...my kids have more sense than you #$%$. The oldest is 7! Get a life!

Long Term Sentiment Disclosure: Get the #$%$ off the Board or #$%$. Please feel free to report me, thank you.

  • Well said Steve, I have been accumulating for last few months in different accounts including my wife. It could be a life changing investment .If it plays out as I think it will TRXC can easily dwarf ISRG rise with a decade.

Good grief, never expected you back here Mark, but great you are here again. Looking to come back to Aus as soon as, so we can catch up then, I know which stop to get off at now lolol. Been busy buying up stocks at these levels, topped up on HSBC, AZN and GSK just before they went ex-div, and swapped out from BP to RDSB - I like their BG takeover and can see a more sustainable divi there. FTSE seems range-bound at present, sell-off to a certain level, then buy-up to the glass-ceiling.
Been out and about for brothers birthday and annual Northern Soul night with Mrs Grims cousin, but too damn cold to really enjoy anything here - still not acclimatised over here and hating it - can't believe that this time last month I was bouncing around in Coolangatta waves, and still warmer in Sydney despite storms when we were there.
Watched "The Martian" with Matt Damon the other night, cracking movie and right up your guy's street. He has racked up a decent portfolio of films now - must get "Invictus" in the collection. Got a big car boot sale getting rid of blurays and DVD's now that the digital collection has taken shape. Must get a replacement ipod for the one I lost in Sydney.
What an achievement for the Big Bang Theory - 200th episode filmed this week, and still fresh. Have either of you checked out the new X-Files season? Loving it! Saw they were advertising it on sides of buses in Brisbane - that's when you know a programme has made it lolol. Did wonder why 6ft images of Mulder and Scully were staring back at me until I saw previews on Channel10. Great to see it back, and more in keeping with original themes.
    Roll on Coldplay concerts....
