We don't compare ourselves to you you tit! We're better than you. You try and compare yourselves to us. With what can you back up your arguments? That you won nothing? Nice one mate.

P.S I thought it was hilarious that Liverpool won the champions league. Ok, so we haven't won it, but we've had six less goes than you and you only one it once. The gobshite's as you scummy united boys call the kopites have now won it 5 times and i know how much that hurts you all. A decade of so called domination... all forgotten in one missed penalty by Schevchenko. We only need worry about what Spurs fans say, and they don't seem to say anything anymore!!

what players should arsenal buy for next season

    by john Jun 9, 2005 00:03

I agree that Given would be a great signing but an unrealistic one. Hopefully this new keeper we are going to sign, Viera, will be able to perform consistently well. I believe Arsenal should sign Owen, Guti and a top central defender, may be even bring Upson back? Wenger may well have problems with the teams confidence without Vieira, look at the dip in form following the Man Utd unbeaten run defeat. Something similar could happen if Arsenal lose to a big team it could be equated to the loss of Vieira.

what players should arsenal buy for next season

    by john Jun 9, 2005 00:03

Now let see, in the next season, we are going to face big problem again if any of our main 11 players are injured. We do not have a second team which is almost equal to the first team.

Look at who we have in our second string team and who Chelsea or MU played in those early round of Carling Cup or FA Cup. Those players can easily become the main players of the bottom half of EPL teams. Thus, our coverage is not good enough.

Another thing is we are depending too much on Henry. So what the other teams will do to him? Send 3 defenders to mark him? SImply injured him?

We have great problem in our defence also. We didn't lose the title to Chelsea because our goals decreased. We lost because we conceded too many goals.

I think we should seriously think of buying some good defenders and a goalkeeper.

We can forget about those expensive players like Beckham, Owen, Ronaldhino, Kaka, Gerrard etc. We just do not have those kind of money. We have to put faith on Wenger to make an under perform player like Henry in Juventus to a super player like Henry in Arsenal. Hopefully the new stadium will fund us some money to really compete with MU or perhaps Chelsea in the transfer market in the future.

With the current squad, we will end up like last season in Champion League. We need to change in order to win it, get the money, get the reputation in Europe and starts to get in real quality players. We have to make ourselves like a club where all those top class players hunger to join.

I am not sure at the moment now, who is left for us to get, but I hope we will get someone good instead of someone like Gy-gal.

    we are sorry

    by AFrican4lyf Jul 12, 2005 19:58

Wot u talkin about? Typical united fans. You'll never ever beat chelsea coz you aren't good enough, and you'll never beat us in the league, coz you're not good enough for that either. You know that as well, all you united fans do. So you beat us twice... who finished second and who won the cup? Imagine if we'd actually turned up for the game... that's wot's scary for you guys!!

THANKS AGAIN FOR THE 05/06 CHAMPIONSHIP

    by A Yahoo! User Jul 14, 2005 22:47

I completely agree mate. Vieira has been one of our most inconsistent performers for two seasons now. Am i the only gooners fan who notices Vieira, Henry and Pires go missing when we play in the champions league? We haven't weakened our side boys and girls, we've strengthened our bank balance! We let him go so cheaply because Wenger and Dein both knew he didn't want to be there. It was obvious from his body language. In munich last year, Vieira actually gave up for the whole of the second half. He gave up!!

Against united at highbury, we blew them away in the first half, proving that when we play they are no match for us. Granted it was that nob head Cygan's fault that united manged to get 2-3 in front because he kept passing them the ball when there was no need to. But after that, Vieira and Henry actually gave up! I mean, what the fuck? I was absolutely disgusted like i've never been before. Losing to united when they're so poor is bad enough, but when your players don't even try? Jeez.

As every gooner with sense keeps saying, apart from Cygan, Wenger never lets us down, and he won't lose his edge like Fergy has done for the past 4 or 5 seasons when it comes to buying players. Vieira will be remembered as one of the best players to wear the Arsenal shirt, and one of the best and most successful players the game has ever seen. As long as we don't get Juventus in the champions league, i hope he wins that too. Then all the united scum can stop talking bollocks about Keane being better! Has he ever won the world cup or European Championship? No. 5 year contract with astronomical wages? No. So shut it you twats!

Signin Ballack & Arsenal in general

    by A Yahoo! User Jul 19, 2005 23:25

Hleb is showing his potential already with another goal, so looks like another great buy for us, but the best is yet to come, Baptista we are still there bidding away, if we want him lets not fu_ck about for the sake of £2 or 3 million (which is nothing in the modern game, Cygans wasted wages for last few years) Lets seal the deal bring him here & watch the goals mount up! Henry & Baptista we will definetly be top goal scorers especially with all the others that can knock them in.

All we need now (once Baptista deal sealed) is a keeper either a top class known stopper or a young class keeper who can put pressure on Lehmann, who can be world class when he wants to be!

People r moanin about our defence but forgettin we had injuries, and alot of the names that we havent seen much of, Clichy, Hoyte & our new defensive hero Senderous. Theres only one lemon in our pack and thats Cygan, yes i love to moan him but i just cant see why we pay his wages, anyone know why??

I know i'm dread the arsenal line up coz i'm not fully trusting it can bring the lge cup back to it's rightful home , but the bottom line is we are sh#' in the transfe market hope the is not gonna affect our season.

Signin Ballack & Arsenal in general

    by A Yahoo! User Jul 19, 2005 23:25

Hey I dont mean to start an argument, I thought you were talking about the Charity Shield game - both Chelsea goals were from open play not penalties/spotkicks.

I'm sorry my fault for "presuming" !

I still think Arsenal played with more fluid passing movement, though - maybe because Robben is not match fit yet, Lamps and Terry just getting back in as well.

    Regards - Marne

    2 sold,1 bought,4 needed.....

    by Mikx... Jul 21, 2005 21:01

but we need the experience........dats very inportant 4 europe..........

  • although he is possibly the most intelligent manager in the premiership, does anyone else get the feeling arsene is putting too much faith in the young players? they are great, but a mix is needed i think.
arsenal should never have got rid of viera. ok, his price will keep dropping, but what does that matter when he's the type of player who will perform solidly for years, so you never need sell him. he's another genius of football like bergkamp. i've got a slight feeling arsene knows he'll be back. and i hope so.

    Baptista

why is Wenger persisting with Baptista when it is obvious that he does not want to join Arsenal , i think he should concentrate on players that may want to join us

    Has Wenger lost the plot?

    by A Yahoo! User Jul 29, 2005 10:13

Teams didn't quiver in fear at Vieira, Pires, Ljungberg or Henry when we first signed them either. Signing players with great potential is the way Wenger does things - trust him. Because we play great football, people forget that we can't compete with clubs like Man Utd or Chelsea off the pitch in signing big name players.

    THE H.M.S ARSENAL IS SINKING!!

    by A Yahoo! User Aug 8, 2005 15:34

your message is about to be deleted by yahoo as you are clearly lacking brainpower you plank. I am not an arsenal fan but i recognise that arsenal are the only team in the premership who have given youth a chance and lets be honest they more than outplayed chelsea. I myself are worried about arsenal, they are looking strong right now and their future looks very promising!

    Get out David Dein

    by aun a Aug 11, 2005 14:28

He's david dein, not malcolm glazer.

Arsenal have never ever been like chelsea in splashing the cash and buying players for the sake of it. However, they have consistently been one of the biggest clubs for the last 100 years.

Dein is no different to any other arsenal charmain - he's doing a good job (which is why we have won so much in the last few years.)
