Hull City Message Board
Top 3 finish would be great and arguably and sadly the best progress we can now hope for. The FA cup would be a nice consolation price.
I would take top 3 over FA cup and 4th. I think a top 3 would help in the summer recruitment since it guarantees CL football and top players nowadays tend to want that guarantee. I hate waiting till the after CL pre-qualifying to see if we sign top players.
Having said that 5th at this point is as likely as 3rd or 2nd IMO. At least no more pointless CL football to tire our squad.
Mancrapper Ushyted DUMPED out of the FA Cup despite trying their best attempts to dive and cheat their way through the match, and Danny Welbeck scoring the winner...MAGIC!!!
Once again David de Gea kept the scoreline respectable, Mancrapper Ushyted were lucky to lose 1-2.
Where's that old tranny Butch these days? - LMFAO!!!! No FA Cup for Ugly van Gallstones, Mancrapper Ushyted and their SHYTE fanbase.
Arsenal do seem to get more than their fair share of injuries.......Just unlucky or something else like not resting players when they show very early signs? I would not have thought so but Wenger knew Ozil was playing with a niggle and did not force him to rest (Ozil said he wanted to carry on)!
All's okay with me, Lotto, same with you I hope---can't say the same about Pools. None league football for the 1st time in a 100 years coming up.
Haven't bothered with the boards recently, anything interesting anywhere or same old.
I don't know if its the same with anybody else, but if you don't scratch your head and wonder about the almost unexplainable, such as the Arsenal team itself, then you know more than I do, because to try and explain their never ending ups and downs in performances has now become a subject that even has the media scratching their heads. Tell me someone please, how is it that a team can play another off the park and still lose. Then almost in the same week, come out and comfortably beat a top European side in one of the most competitive football competitions in the world ?? That to me at least is indeed simply psychological. It has to me. One can almost make a case for sheer bad luck ( once again we are left without another key player for 3months) but surely not continues bad luck? Meanwhile I will continue not to get too downhearted about something that it almost becoming a regular occurrence.
A handy 3 points? Having seen the game my opinion is, as most team are struggling against so called inferior sides, this was a good result given the 'shut them out at all costs' methods adopted by the afore mentioned. It isn't the Arsenal's or the Man C's that cant play their game of football, they aren't allowed to play 'football' any longer. Its just a game of tactics. How the hell does Sunderland side hold Chelsea to a draw, if not by adopting the 'shut them out at all costs attitude'.? And that includes knocking them down with tackles that are killing off good players for long periods of time. If the perpetrator is only going to get a yellow(on average) for it, what chance do top teams have when they are p-laying with the 'handicap' of fear. Worth a thought when your a struggling team trying to stay alive in the PL where the money is.
Good to see....
..... that, as usual, you fail to notice that YOU are completely ignored on here, except by the Geordie child!
Guess this was a fair result. Not impressed with the way this game was managed by Wenger. Why not give Campbell a chance at some point? Three small players like Carzorla, Rosicky and Alexis where never likely to bother the Southampton defense. 4th will be harder than many think and I still don't think we will finish 4th this season. And the bad news is that we didn't lose this game in defensive midfield. We were just out played by a better prepared side and more disciplined side.
Thanks for the reply John. Although I envy you for being able to go the games, I understand the mixed feelings you might have about paying for some of the performances in these big games.
From television it looked similar to what you summarized. Although I think Ozil appeared a bit unlucky with his team mates in as far as some of his passes being squandered.
Your summary could have easily been of an other Arsenal game though and that is the worry for me.
IMO the best game we played as a collective, maybe not the prettiest, was against City. We seemed to press early, move up and down the pitch as a collective, not leaving big spaces between our lines for the opponents to take advantage of and maintained focus pretty much through out the game. It almost felt a little like Barca and Bayern play as a collective and press high on the pitch. But then we never seem to play like that again despite having shown we are capable of it.
By now you know I don't think highly of Giroud and I hope we will add some depth at his position this summer, now that it seems likely Wenger won't spend on a top DM thanks to the impressive debut season of Coqleulin.
As weak as it sounds, I think the ref for the return leg of the Monaco game is going to be the determining factor. Will he allow Monaco to foul us out of our rhythm or will he hand out some early yellows to give us a chance?
Another bite, you Geordies really are THICK!
You posted about me, your NEMESIS, because I OWN you, you can't help posting about me because you're infatuated, you hate it that I lord it over you, you even copied my old name to be nearer to me .... CHOMP CHOMP!!
Every time you post about me you're chomping, you can't help it, I infuriate you .... you gotta larf!

I knew you'd bite on that one, you irresistible little drunkard you!
Call me a cynic........but, he's just been given 10-12 weeks off due to injury, after reporting for international duty.
I can only assume that Bayern will be lining up a bid for January.
Based on his last performance, they are welcome to him.
Looks like the OLD tranny from Cairns is off to join the fairies alright, heading off the off-licence for a few tins of 'tramp juice' and make a fool of herself in public!
We all know what happens when those brags of "I'm going away" start from that OLD woofter, within a matter of hours she's posting on here, either that or sweetblindness magically reappears trolling everyone's posts!
.........It is time someone else got a chance.
With his in depth knowledge of everything football, I would have thought the outback cowboy Butch would be a good re[placement. Just imagine the damage he could do with a team of humpty backed old guzzlers from his local........better than the team Wenger put out to be almost sunk by a leaky Hull....no pun intended...
Burnley were never going to give us a hard game. Sanchez's first goal was superb. His work rate all over the pitch is fantastic. Comparisons are being drawn, but they are more that he is like a Suarez type player. Let's hope he only copies his prolific scoring record and not his biting, diving and racism.
You lot should have beaten Mancnobber Ushyted after playing them off the park.
Their glory boy fans are filling the Yahoo articles with gloating comments, it's sickening!
I'm surprised that old fanny from Cairns didn't take a break from her imaginary tour of Asia to post a gloating comment, but perhaps she's had her electricity cut off again for not paying the bill?
Seven weeks travelling around paradise with my son, and what's happened here?
The sad, immature Geordie has sunk to new depths of immaturity with ..... wait for it ..... Mancnobber Ushyted ...... can you believe that? He gets younger as he gets older! I made an hilarious video on Sanur Beach in Bali, asking the locals what they thought of Geordies, I'll get it up on Youtube soon. Their reputation as idiots has crossed the world!
Then we have the yank, who has responded to Govinda's football posts with his usual vitriol, a substitute for football knowledge. He can't compete one on one talking football, so he does what he does best, shows himself up with childish insults, and the usual reference to standing on the North Bank 50 years ago, with the claim that makes him a REAL fan.
Govinda's repost to the yank's threat that he was, ".... saving this and I'm going to rub your moaning bl..dy face in it." was hilarious, it sent the yank right over the top! Good stuff Govinda.
This place really should be put down. Luckily, I'm off next year, moving to Bali. I've got a nice four bed villa on Sanur beach with a pool, a cook and a maid, (mandatory there to employ at least one person), and the chance to take a stake in a local nightclub, not a pretend one like the whole of Geordie Child's life!
I won't do what certain idiots did here last season, and brag about the fact Arsenal and United have swapped places, I'll leave that for the end of the season.
Cue the idiots ....... LMFAO!
I was at the game and what I saw was:
1. The final ball. It just wasn't there. It just never worked for us.
2. Giroud was well off his game. He has apologised for this, and must make amends in the next game, or run the risk of being labelled forever a big game failure.
3. Mertesacker was also off his game. He ventured too far out and lost too many challenges.
4. Ozil was ineffective. He kept passing sideways or backwards and kept the ball too long. This slowed our game and allowed Monaco to get back in position.
In the end we just went mad and left our defences wide open for the third.
I've got a few more games to go to before the end of the season, but if we don't beat Liverpool, I may just give 'A' Games a miss. I've seen us draw against Spurs and lose against Utd and Monaco this season so far. £66 a ticket for that isn't worth it.
I hope the £40 per ticket I've paid for the West Ham game delivers good value.
