No we weren't champions - but we didn't spend £92 million to buy the title.
As for Arsenal playing boring football in the final, what does everyone expect ? - If Ferguson wants to play that formation, everyone must expect a boring result as there's a lot at stake. Are Man Utd fans that dim as to expect Arsenal to roll over ?
Ferguson's men are so caught up in the long running battle with Arsenal, that they seem to have forgotten that Chelsea are the new Arsenal.
PS - At least Arsenal never lost to Man Utd in the Premiership ;-)

No real match except we won the cup, we finished higher in the league, we won the league last season, we score more goals, we break more records... need i go on. Keep talking united scum, we'll always do better than you because we are and you know it. If we can win playing that badly, what hope have you got if we play well. That's the frightening thing for you guys. And why don't you know how to play chelsea? They never even look like beating us, where as every time they play you, they cruise to victory. Apart from when they deservedly beat us in the champions league two years ago (when Henry, Vieira and Pires were absolute dog shi**) we always look like were about to score. You don't even trouble Terry and Co. If united don't buy heavily, they will continue to play worse and worse. Raising your game for a cup final is one thing, but doing it week in week out, no chance.

Stop fantasing about players like Ronaldinho, Robinho, Gerrard and Trezeguet cos they are way to expensive for Arsenal and I don't think we need to spend that much money anyway.

trezeguet is a great striker and is out of favour at juve at the moment, however, henry and trezeguet can't play on the same team together. We have seen this from the european championship last year and the last world cup (which france failed to score a goal)

i am big arsenal fan and i think wenger should buy a good keeper probably someone like cudicini or someone else in his class.then a right back so lauren would sit-up having competion, and wright-philips for depth in the squad and a striker that can fill in the role of a partner for henry like owen or a striker that is playing for country and club and can score above 18 goals on a proven basis. if this is done we will really give others a run for thier money any time

there have been very good players mentioned in previous posta in here but the problem are a few problems. Money is a big problem.... how can we compete with the chelseas the real madrids...

other problem is that all the problem we were linked with this season are now targeted by other teams which have more more than arsenal or are more famous ex: Robinho ; he was heavily linked with arsenal but as soon as real entered he forgot about arsenal.

same thing with sean wright philips and arsenal should forget about baptista now that barca have entered the list.

in my opinion they should get unsetteled liverpool striker MILAN BAROS... i agree that he hasnt performed that well for liverpool thats because he wasnt well supported by the liverpool midfield... i am pretty sure the chezk will be great up front with HENRY and also REYES and V. PERSIE are god fresh young talent to back them up and one day take their place.

Mr Arsene Wenger did a good thing to buy young talent we should give them time and you will see that in a couple of years they will be world class players. We shouldnt talk about selling them.

Arsenal are a strong team though i believe that replacing VIERA will be hard but he have to go on, buy a couple of good unexpensive players.

And i think that chelsea are doing wrong buy buying too many players they are just wasting money and many talented players will who wont get to play that much, chelsea wasnt a bad team untill mourinho came along.
just look at real madrid... so many class players yet they couldnt manage to win the league or the champs league

    good luck arsenal

Without wishing to sound flippant and rub the original posters nose in it, just remind me, where did arsenal finish in the league last year, and where did man u finish... Personally i wouldn't even bother answering it as it's a 'no brainer'

BTW... Since what happened at MG rover is still fresh in the minds of most of you north of watford, and bearing in mind the way that Mr Glazer has sought control of Man utd by saddling it with humungous debts.. I'd be interested what the odd's are that Man U will be putting in that call to KPMG or PWC etc to bail them out of Administration or bankruptcy within the next five years, i only bring this up because American businesspeople aren't too well known for long term investing, they want success and results 5 years ago, not in 5 years time (not that i want to remind man u fanatics of cetain facts)

Let's just make sure that Arsenal or any other English/UK footy team doesn't succomb to this type of take over (it's bad for the game)

    Man utd won the FA?

    by AFrican4lyf Jul 13, 2005 17:00

Didn't Arsenal win on Penalties or was i watching the wrong match... At the end of the day, no one scored any 'legal' goals within the 120 mins. played, so whilst man u looked the better side, they didn't capitalize where it counts (scoring goals... thats hows teams win footy matches if mem. serves me right)

  • man u were great about 3 or 4 years ago but lets face being third 2 seasons in a row is crap. it looks as though you are sliping.

THANKS AGAIN FOR THE 05/06 CHAMPIONSHIP

    by A Yahoo! User Jul 14, 2005 22:47

Mr.AW was right to sell a player who no longer believed in the team and wanted to go elsewhere. Wenger was the one who made Vieira and the likes of Titi,Cole, Pires .I trust Fabregas to become an even better player this season. No forgetting Flamini. Vive la professeur.

    Arsenal have to sign Ballack!

I like your thinking dave (i've since established you aren't actually my brother dave, but you do talk the same sense)! How much more would we win without Cygan there? Fucking Cygan, playing for Arsenal? What the fuck? It's like having Silvestre in your team!!

Ya, we should sell Cygan... the funny question here is why there is no club asking for him? Not even those division 1 team... well, guess the only way is to let him go for free...

i'm getting frustated to see how my favorite club doin their transfer policy while others easily get what they want...okay m. wenger and mr dein if you all haven't come up with better solution for vieira departure, let me suggest you this one: retrain toure as new anchorman, he's got all stuffs needed to be there, young, strong and agile, good ball skills and ...maaan he can long-shoot as well! really damned hell a ball winner!! afterall he's a utility player who wouldn't find any difficulty to be fitted in wherever he is. in the central defence we still got campbell the rock, senderos who is getting better and better, eboue and christanval or song. as for striker i still pray the deal for baptista is reached. nevertheless, if it also stcked, i propose we loan a season for jon dahl tomasson from milan (lethal enough to be fox-in-the box) as a temporary solution before we try again for baptista next year
