Congratulations baggies on achieving promotion (barring freak results on Sunday!!!)

Hopefully the wingers and moaners will swallow their words! Well at least until the new season starts and they can moan about the players we sign or get rid of!!

    One very proud baggie here

What the hell are you on about! I dont recall any jealous and uncalled for remarks after the play-offs!
And tell me who has seathed and spat that we could survive easily in the Prem! All I have heard from inside the albion is that the way we play at the moment should give us the best opportunity to survive - rather than the recent campains where we have tried to defend and nick a point from games!
Thank you for wishing us 'good luck' and then hoping we get mauled and shafted each week!
And as for you suggesting that we are not dominating and oozing classy football - just how many games have you seen us play! No team goes all season without losing, and no team has the given right to beat every team they play, but also you dont score over 100 goals in a season with creating lots of chances, and you only create lots of chances by DOMINATING games!!!!!!!

    What is happening ?

But in your first post you seem to be asking for Megson back unless I read it wrong. You have to agree that most of the football played this season has been much improved than in previous seasons and that has to be down to Mowbray.
I agree with you that Peace will always have one eye on the finances but even he will see that promotion this season is a must if the club want to move forward. If we dont get promoted the better players will certainly leave and if that happens then we will be a championship club for a long time.
I too was insensed on Saturday but only for Moore being stupid. Yes the ref got alot wrong too but in football all you can do is influence the things you can control - Moore could have pulled out of the challenge, if he does I think we would have won the game. Also in defence of Mowbray he cant legislate for Barnett getting injured once hes made all subs.

Are you mad!!! Mobray to go and Megson back - what on earth are you talking about! Its amazing that after a couple of performances where we dont win the knives come out and youre calling for the return of 'king' Megson. Why not go the whole way and ask for Atkinson back!
As for Sats game against Leicester we were cruising till Moore sees the red mist and lunges two footed at Stearman (how many times have we seen that kind of challenge punished in the last month!) Only one person to blame for Saturday - MOORE! We would have won comfortably with 11 men.

    Albion 1 - 2 Hull.

    A Yahoo! User Feb 27, 2008 22:37 Flag

Firstly I have to say shame on you for walking out after Hull Scored their second goal! I know you have paid for your ticket and have every right to do that but its at that time (especially needing only one goal to draw) that the team needs its support. Players respond to support and when they sense supporters leaving in droves then it has a negative effect.
Secondly, I also have to admit I was bemused when Mowbray subbed both Phillips and Bednar and commented that he had just taken off 30 goals! However it does appear that Bednar was unwell and I guess we did well to get an hour out of him. I also suspect the Mobs feels that Phillips cant play with Miller, hence his sub.
I do agree with what you say about Morrison and having been a Coventry the previous week cant understand why Brunt wasnt played.
I also still cant fathom why Greening was subbed as everything goes thru him, and he and Koren are always 'showing' for the ball.
Unfortunately again I cant agree with the route one comment. Apart from Bednar there is no-one else up front who can win high balls in the air. I feel we are geared up as a 'footballing' side and will win more games like that as we create more chances. Remember at home away teams will pack the midfield and restrict space so playing a route one game defenders will love it - especially centre halfs ! Also I for one would not want to see the style of football Stoke/Watford play!
Defensively we are weak, but against Hull in the first half they had one chance and scored,
I do have concerns over Kiely, for an experienced keeper he does make some strange decisions!

    neil warnock injury time goal

As a baggies fan I did want Palace to win last night, but was chufffed when Bristol scored so late - if only to see Warnocks reaction! Cant stand the guy, and around here he is still regarded as a cheat after he got a game abandoned between us and Shef Utd. SU had had 3 players sent off, we were winning 3 0 then another 2 players fained injury to get the game abandoned. The guy is a disgrace to Proffesional Football and should have been kicked out the game! He is always quick to blame officials for his team losing!

Baggies fan here - I always thought you'd had a hugh mistake appointing Robbo. I never thought he had any idea what his best team was when he managed us. The football was drab, and we got lucky when we had 'the great escape' and found out the following season. Not wishing to label teams but I always thought S U were a difficult team to play against under Warnock, but Robbo's style is very diffierent.

Blimey a balls not been kicked yet apart from the meaningless pre-season stuff and already you're righting us of! As for the players who have left, my feeling is they are the reason we didnt get promoted last year. Kamara should have scored 30 not 22, plus laid in another 10 for players in better positions. Also there were 3 games last year where we conceeded goals by player being able to run pass Kamara, and Kamara not tracking back. Komas had an aweful run during feb and march after being voted player of the month and didnt turn in a decent performance till April when it was clear we were only going to make the play-offs!
Great business getting over 11mill for the two of them. We already have a replacement for Koumas in Koren. Saw enough of him last season to think he will be a real asset this season, two footed, can pass, reads the game and I think he will score some goals this year. As for replacing Kamara we should have enough strikers, Ellington (might just have a decent season if he wants to leave again in Jan), Beattie, Phillips will always get goals, plus the young kid we lent to bristol.
So is there any chance you can get behind the team and at least give them a chance - otherwise you may as well go and follow the dingles!

Oh and whatever you think, the chairman cannot be transfered!

Ok, having seen the challenge by duke on tv I will change my opinion. It was a red card challenge and will take it on the chin. As for the rest of my comments I stand by them.
Big descisions effect games, and at the moment officials get them wrong! Prem clubs get the big decisions again 'lower' opposition, Man u, Arsenal and Chelsea get all the big descisions in the Prem and struggling clubs get nothing.

Having been at the match, the tackle was no more than a yellow card, and if youre saying Parnaby nearly got his leg broke he made a remarkable recovery! Would have been interesting if it had happened the other way - doubt if the ref would have even given a foul, judging by the way he was refing. But I guess thats what you get as a Championship side with a prem side in town, all and I mean all the big descions going your way. Summed it up when Carter was booked for diving when hes through on the keeper (dont think he even claimed for a foul) while Viduka spends most of the match on his arse as soon as he feels Clem or Davies breathe on him. Riley even tells Vid to get up on at least 3 occasions and still doesnt book him! Nice to know the prem refs havent changed since we were relegated, (14 fouls by you lot and no cards, 11 by us 2 yellows and a red) and Im suspecting it will be the same if we go up.

Still cant see how you can regard duke as an asset especially when youve said that he doesnt do it week in week out. If we do get promoted I dont see him as an asset if he has a season like he already has. Do you honestly think he will change if we go up? I agree that hartson and phillips will struggle (especially Hartson), and unfortunately I also agree that Kamara will probbaly leave. however he should attract very good money as he has 3 years left on his contract. I think it still shows that one area we will have problems with is upfront. If we could keep Kamara i doubt if the board will put up much money for a striker to play along him. If he does go, who would we buy? cant see many 20 goals a season striker for 2/3Million.

So what your saying is that after 35 games in the league, plus cup games Duke will now prove himself. Personally I think he's had quite long enough, mind you knowing Duke he will either have a cold, or his ankle will be hurting or his toe will be inflamed so probably wont play! Football must be the only profession where we have to put up with no performing wingers who think they are better than they are. Ok he scores a wonder goal against Cardiff and gets three points, he didnt do a lot else after that. Sorry mate, guess Im from the old school where strikers played week in week out, and actually worked hard on the pitch - still waiting for duke to that!
