Well I hope it is a "spell", but if he can't get excited with late winners I don't expect him to battle back to form any time soon. I anticipate he will be moving on at season's end and the question will be "did he leave or was he pushed".

John, if he wants to get bored he can do it in his own time. We pay him too much money not to expect commitment and enthusiasm on the pitch. If you did record the 2 games, watch back and tell me when you last saw such a negative reaction after seeing your team get such important results.
Yes he re-signed at the start of the season, but he didn't exactly rush in to it, did he. I'm sure other factors played a part, but from where I sit it was mostly to do with him collecting as much from citeh and then us.
You're right to say he scored quite well last year, but he missed shed loads of easy chances that should have been put away. And he has continued to miss easy chances this year and seems to lack concentration, like whenever he gets the ball a little unexpectantly he is never quite ready or able to know what to do with it, whereas top players do.
Didn't fancy him to begin with and even less now. He seems to be repeating how it went at #$%$ & City
I have already commented on Adebayor's late return from the Africa Cup.
If you recorded the game, take a look at his reaction on Bale scoring his wonder goal against the hammers. He just turned away as if the ref had awarded a goal kick. You would think that Bale scoring a late winner and earning 3 vital points would have him #$%$-a-hoop, but no.
Now take a look at the late goal that kept us in europe, same reaction. You could excuse it if it was just his laid back character, but I remember him running the length of the pitch to taunt arsenal fans when he scored for city.
I have heard people accuse Benni of not caring, but he is always one of the first to congratulate and celebrate our goals, whereas Adebayour couldn't care less.
The sooner we get rid the better, arogant merceniery git.

In fairness, he looked after the ball very well last season, his passing being mainly safe rather than incisive. Sandro has his own fair share of misplaced passes, but they are both good at breaking up play, something we have been thankful for on lots of occasions. Prefer Sandro though as he is younger and stronger. Both are better than Livermore, who suits the bench more than the pitch.

Spot on Sfer, although I'd cut Lennon a little slack. I commented on Ade a couple of days ago...has he paid for the private jet yet?
I'm glad we are scraping results, but we definately need to up the strike rate to get 4th spot.
Like you, don't really rate AVB, perhaps it's the raincoat. Someone tell him to throw it away....who would buy it?

Sfer, the only way this site will get busy again is if people start talking football instead of being critical of others. Sure, John does seem a little over reliant on stats, but it is easy enough to ignore if you find it irritating. There was a time when I had the odd run-in with Spursbabe but now find her input worthwhile. Either she has got better at putting her point across or I have become more tolerant....perhaps a bit of both.
I too found the site interesting but in my case I thought it had closed a few months ago, until I discovered they had just altered the layout of the home page and hid the message board link "off-screen" and I wonder how many others have done the same, or maybe I'm just thick.
Anyway Sfer, why not just go back to posting like you used to. I always found your input good reading and would welcome a return to the "good old days"...... unless Vito decides to invade us again with his plaguerisms.

His pre-signing shenanigans, form this season, his attitude to his national team and this latest total lack of commitment to the club all demonstrate that the only thing that matters to Adebayor is himself, closely followed by money.
Don't rate him anyway, he needs 5 chances to get one shot on target only for the keeper to save, can't pass further than 6 yards and is generally unaware of those around him.
Gid Rid, the guy is a disgrace. And send him the bill for the private jet, cheeky git.

Listen all you gooner twats coming on here.
You know and we know that, as usual, you had a huge slice of luck just when it mattered. Who bribed Fulop?
And even that would not have mattered, if Villa's fluked goal hadn't got a deflection.
So stop kidding yourselves, you are a good team but also a lucky team, whereas Spurs are not. Remember Lasagnegate.

Ade holds the ball up well, but only scores about 1 in 10 chances...I,ve lost count of the sitters he has missed.
Daffy's not much cop at holding the ball, but makes darting runs to drag the defence and scores a good percentage of his chances (and half chances).
He should certainly be in ahead of Saha. Yes, Ade & Saha were mustard against the toon....but not much since.
Give Daffy a run or lose him in the summer, along with Ade who we can't/won't afford.

I can't see how BAE was to blame for 4 goals, 1 certainly, and another partly ....so not his best game.
Ledley's lack of mobility cost us three in my book. He often takes up good positions, but when he is not quite there he struggles to recover or intercept.
Not his fault really, so Harry it's time to put him out to grass before he cripples himself. And Levy, stick your hand in your pocket and get us a class CD. Stop trying to get everything on the cheap or you're in danger of being labelled a tight fisted yid.....oh but you already are... sorry.

Yet another example of a Spurs player with a long term injury, supposedly on the mend and close to playing again, and suddenly he needs another op. Just like Ledley a few months back.
Come on Daniel, sort the medical team out. Or are you doing it on the cheap.....like our transfers and wages setup?

Assault can be both physical (a simple push) or verbal (insult or threat
My understanding is that whenever anyone takes part in a physical contact sport they are deemed to have given consent to assualt, otherwise how can anyone take part without fear of being charged with common assualt.
This doesn't mean they have no legal redress to ABH or GBH and players are entitled to sue for this if a reckless challenge causes intentional bodily harm.
Looking at the footage, it would seem Terry racially insulted Ferdinand which goes beyond normal abuse and in law is an offence, although it still has to be proved in court.
Without all the media close up exposure, none of us would be any the wiser.
As it is, Capello loses his job because the useless F.A. mismanagement team gave him no option. We will probably lose our manager and some of his helpers. And Terry loses the captain's armband, probably the only good thing to come out of it.......always a thug IMO.

Vito, Vito.......... how many times have you been told that your plagiarisms are not welcome on this site.
You really are a despicable specimen. Original thought is always appreciated, but it seems you will never learn.
Now please, pretty please.......Fcuk off.

Nicking our top medic is possibly a good thing......the way some of our injuries have been mis-handled by delayed operations and long recovery times from seemingly run of the mill injuries.
David Pratt's remark that money is irrelevent in the quest for the title is a load of bollocks.
In that case, they can stop spending megabucks on transfers and wages and then see what kind of player they attract and how many head for the exit.
Come on David, who are you trying to kid?

H. - when I played that was my favourite tackle, it typified what football was all about....a man's game.
But "in the air" 2 footed tackles should be instant red, whether or not contact is made.
Shirt pulling and obstruction to guard the ball on its way out should be a yellow every time, it's the only way to stop the cheats.
