Having watched the under 21's against Sunderland yesterday i'm hoping Brendan gives young Alberto a shot in the number 10 role with Coutinho out for a projected 6 weeks recovery time, I'm hoping Alberto is another one of those daimond in the sand jobs.

Pleased as punch Moses got a goal, can only serve him well and build his confidence up as a LFC player, not convinced on Aspas as he was truly out of his depth when brought on against the Swans, not writing him off thoe as im sure he will come good in time.

Heres hoping Kelly,Sterling, Ibe and Alberto are all involved against the saints be that as starting in the eleven or subed on at some point.

    Looking very bright.

Im probly wide of the mark here but will say that I think Shelvy is arguably more talented than Henderson, dont get me wrong Hendo has a fantastic engine and will most likely improve in time but pound for pound and trick for trick I saw somthing very special in Shelvy and think we will really regret letting him go and not giving the lad a chance by loaning him out, very much to Swanseas benefit.

Fair to say we went completely to pot in that second half, I dont really understand what happened but I feel we need a cast Iron hard nut enforcer who doesnt run out of puff or ideas in the final 45 in the guise of a Mascherano, Rossiter for under 21s looks good and the boy Luis Alberto looks set to have a very bright red future.

Speaking of Coutinho getting hurt, from what I saw it was the result of Ashly Williams leaving his knee out for the pint sized Brazilan to crash over on his shoulder injuring him for god knows how long now, it genuinly felt at times like a few Swansea players almost hold a grudge against Liverpool or Rogers or both, a couple of times specialy Williams almost went looking for trouble which colminated in the injuring of Coutinho. I seem to remember him also having a few unpleasent words in regards to Suarez a while back.

Williams has really gone down in my book and am glad we didnt buy him as he has showed signs of being quite a unpleasant individual.

Almost felt like Liverpool vs Shelvy at times, why on earth have we sold a kid with so much potential, strengthening Swansea, could we not have loaned him out a couple years ready to take or play the role Gerrard fills now??

He was an absolute beast against us and if it wasnt for his silly/ recless mistakes probly would have put us to the sword and taken all three points, he wont always be a liabilty and looks to me be a deadly in future.

So many more things to say about this match about the loss of posesion in the second half due in my eyes to a tired and week midfield after Coutinho went off. Sakho looks to be a truly awsome center back at some point soon but was a little bit reckless in his tackles but will only improve with time.

Comoli pointed out somthing interesting today in the fact that Sakho our "marquee" sighning of 18million and agger are both left footed so how are we going to acomondate both players?

This sucks dsteer I've loved reading this message board for the last couple of years, yeah great job yahoo you bunch of muppets, somebody is obviousley getting paid to much for being a generaly clueless moron trying to invent ways of annoying people to justify there job thinking its a great idea to take this message board off the main page, tried to find a complaints or feedback option but its like trying sift through dense garbage CLOWNS.

  • Erikson, Shaqiri, Damio or Yilmaz, Alderwerld Popadopolus or that Psg defendor and Cissoko and a quality defensive midfielder would all be great plz FSG and Suarez can walk on......

Sorry my bad I ment Kevin Gameiro of PSG =)

  • Alright guys so a natural right sided winger as a replacement for Downing should we exchange him for Begovic if Reina leaves for Barca, or even if Downing doesnt go we could do with an upgrade on the Right side of the attack. Tello would be my absolute hands down first choice in this list as a attack of Suarez, Sturridge and Tello? supported by Courtinho just gets me buzzing with anticipation.

Cant really see us landing Tello without going down the exchanging Reina route which frankly I dont really like the sound of as Reina looks to be getting back into form recently after having a few suspect seasons of late.

Graniero im unsure if he even plays on the right, Sinclair has the history and understanding of how Rogers wants our guys to play, Ince has looked a different class with his 10 goals and 14 assists or somthing like that be that in the championship, while Mcmanaman has also looked pretty good and bossed it against Citeh in the F.A cup finale.

Another arguement for going for a natural wide player the likes of Ince, Sinclair and Mcmanaman is that a front line of Sturridge and Suarez already seems crowded as both guys arent exactly renowed for sharing there chances, perhaps the likes of Tello up there may even not bring out the best in a front three? Who knows it could potentialy be deadly.

Hopefully we land Ericksen, Kolo, another defensive midfielder and another younger promising Center back but with such a limited budget may be difficult.

    What do you guys think??

  • Havin_A_Red_Day_? Havin_A_Red_Day_? May 4, 2013 00:50 Flag

Yeah think your right Jason, fits the price range Rogers will possibley have spare to get an attacking player and has history with Rogers and would be already familiar with his tactics and style of fluid passing play.

Think we are in the Europa league due to fair play rules or somthing about being second best disiplined team in the league under Arsenal which grants us entry.

  • So have read Liverpool have been linked with these three players, not really an area I think we need much improving in as I feel Downing has more than made his mark this season out on the right but I hear through the grape vine he could potentialy be off leaving the door open to a new player out wide especialy if that absolute little Brazilian gem Coutinho gets moved into a number 10 role behind the striker, maybe even 2 wide players.

Who would represent best value for money and skill keeping in mind we really look like we are skint and really need to find a Carra replacement.

It looked to me like Gerrard and Lucas were comlpetely dominated in midfield but really I think it Tottenham playing well and making our players look ordinary/rubbish but hey we got the result and knocked them on their #$%$ which they really had coming since that 4-1 drumming at White Heart Lane last season which I was still really sore about.

Altogehter a fantastic result, great to see us win a game "dirty" finaly, could have done with a couple of wins like this last season for King Kenny but I will take it all the same.

Well done the men in red YNWA

Quality post Squirl, salute you sir.

Robbed of the full six points against the title holders by silly mistakes this season but so much to be positive about (Skirtle and Reina forgiven) we finaly got that missing peice of the puzzle up front with Suarez to compliment and add a little somthing different to our front line in Sturridge.

Can look to the immediate future with some optimism.

Lets go for that fourth place!!!!!

For old times sake it would be great to have our old number 9 back but we all know we had the absolute best out of Fernando Torres....... Didnt we??

How good would he really be now alonside Suarez? I doubt it would be much better than Sturridge and Suarez to be honest, maybe back 2 years ago but we will never know.

We all would have loved to have seen the potental link up of Torres and Suarez but unfortunatly and fortunatly for us Torres played the judas and made a big money move to a "bigger club" for 50 million.

The guy just looks completely burnt out now, also his last months with us you could see he wasnt the same old prolific striker which had we have kept him, could have bin to our disadvantage but fortunatly its Chelsea's problem now.

When he left he pretty much slammed the door shut on us with those "bigger club" comments, the guy pretty much kicked us when we were down, the side who had nurtured him and brought out the best in him and dare I say loved him.

When I look back on him leaving LFC for Chelsea I always remember Phil Thompson rubbishing what he said on sky sports news. Always makes me feel better =)

    Chips in come January Window..

Talking of possible strikers in January, never bin that impressed with Sturridge or Walcott and would prefer someone like Demba Ba especialy when Chelsea will demand 15mill or more for Sturridge, when I have seen him and Danny Welbeck play for England Wellbeck has always stolen the show at least from what I have seen. Sturridge almost looking unanimated, not sure if thats fair or not? Not convinced he would link up with Suarez all that well or maybe play them seperate?

Only worry with Demba Ba is this rumor of dodge knees that stopped him sighning for I think Stoke or Sunderland before Newcastle? Apart from that in his favored role of front and center hes bin amazing for Newcastle and Pardew has had his reward for taking such a gamble.

Again not sure how Demba Ba and Suarez would link up possibley Suarez moving over to the right where he was best at Ajax maybe to accomondate Ba's more clinicle finnish?

Or maybe a different striker/winger to better combine with Suarez, still brings tingles thinking had Torres stayed on how different it could have bin for us, never being there to score that goal for chelsea against Barca getting them through......... One can only dream. (sorry bitter red moment)

    Nice posts Jason very amusing.

That game has got to be probaly the worst performance by Suarez I have ever seen him put in, in a red shirt.

Heck of a lot of positives too draw on thoe with fine displays from Asaiedi, Sterling, Wisdom especialy and why oh why cant Downing do that more often???

Bring on the Toffees on sunday!!!!!

I dont want to sound like im knocking Suarez, I wouldnt swap him for any other player in the league I just hope he can adapt his game and will do so as soon as the burden of being our only true striker is lifted by quality reinforcements in January.
