Can't say I remember you either Conman and I've been posting on here since 2008.
Don't post much on here myself these days - and this "new look" format defo gets a thumbs down from me :-( If it ain't broke don't fix it - but Yahoo do love tinkering with things when they don't need to.

Don't get to that many away games - but do get to every PL home game though :-)
This season I've only been to Manchester City and West Brom (my daughter is at uni in Birmingham so I stay with her). Went to Villa last season but as the game was on Boxing Day this season we decided to give it a miss. Will try to get to a couple more away games this season if I can as a number of my friends travel to every away game too - I met up with a few of them this afternoon.

We may have Ade back for the Newcastle game - Togo lost to Burkhina Faso in the ACN QF this evening.
Defoe's injury could actually be a blessing in disguise - I heard he's damaged a metatarsal so could be facing 6 weeks on the sidelines. Knowing he could be the sole out-and-out striker available may help Ade concentrate his mind and thus up his game - he simply doesn't play well alongside Defoe.
Have to say I'm very impressed thus far with Holtby - he was a real livewire when he came on today and was unlucky not to have got a goal in the 2nd half.
Was up at The Hawthorns today and it was great to see the team acknowledging the away support at the end of the game - Benny gave his shirt to somebody sitting at the front, though I couldn't see who. Nice gesture.

Tut tut Fab. Venessa may have read the messages in the order in which they're posted not as responses to particular posts, hence her comment.
Either that or she's geeing you up ;-)

Delighted that our lads delivered what I asked Santa for! 9pts from 3 games to take us in to 3rd place and start of 2013 with a bang.
Not only that, but to top off a brilliant New Year's Day the Goons could only draw at St Mary's - and but for an own goal by the Saints were lucky to get their 1pt, if reports of their game are to be believed.
Life is currently good in the blue half of North London :-)
Happy New Year folks.

I really can't see us David Moyes allowing Baines to go this coming window, and I'm sceptical about us having any chance of signing either/both Llorente & Moutinho, though I'm happy to be proved wrong naturally.
More likely are potential short-term loan signings - though who they might be is anyone's guess.
Of far more concern is the rumour about Benny going, if those doing the rounds have any traction - though naturally I sincerely hope they're total cr@p.

"We'll sing what we want, we'll sing what we want, we're Tottenham Hotspur, we'll sing what we want".
Believe you me John, at WHL and at City last weekend we were pretty vocal in response to this whole furore. Without a doubt it's made us all the more determined not to let him, Baddiel or anyone else stop us using the Yid word (I will not cop out by saying Y-word!).
I have to say I find Baddiel to be somewhat of a hypocrite considering he castigates us while supporting a team whose fans regularly make hissing noises when they play us. Being part Jewish myself I have nothing against the word, except when it's used in an offensive manner - which clearly is not the case when we chant it.
The Met Police have said the won't arrest or prosecute anyone using it. Despite Herbert's threat to make a complaint if we continue to use it after 20 November, I'd like to see how the Police would cope if they were to arrest upwards of 30,000 fans at WHL.

The dearth of quality players able to be called upon to play of England is sad to see.
Seems like club before country prevails in today's mercenary world of football.
Shame the FA can't go down the route of rugby and cricket and have players on a central contract thus ensuring they're available for selection. But that's a can of worms I doubt anyone would want to open ...

My mistake - despite what you'd put I read it that you predicted us to win.
Put it down to the euphoria of the moment - though it does seem odd to predict a 3-0 loss while at the same time naming one of our boys to score (even if you didn't mean he'd score an own goal).

Definitely not dreaming Sledge :-D
Cracking win at OT, despite the poor 2nd half performance. The Mancs often win despite playing badly but I'll take all 3 points at OT all day long however we play.
Another Vertonghen goal - I reckon he'll be our Player of the Season. He really is a cracking player. Glad to see Dempsey opening his account too.
COYS - let's hope this is the kickstart to the season we need to maintain our push for CL footie.

Give the guy a break this week please - his mother died a couple of days ago and being Jewish he and his family are now in a 7-day period of mourning for her.

With you all the way Rambr0. I'm going to be a fully-fledged Bayern Munich supporter tomorrow night - take a look at my avatar ;-)
Altogether now "Ein Bayern München, gibt es nur ein Bayern München, ein Bayern München, gibt es nur ein Bayern München".

Big shame - I was hoping he'd stay and keep Liverpoo languishing in mid-table mediocrity.
I reckon they'll look at Lambert, Rogers, Martinez or Poyet (who might be able to handle Suarez better) or maybe abroad, though they're pi$$ing in the wind if they think they might attract Guardiola or Mourinho.
However, I hear that Benitez is currently out of work ... ;-)

There you go, still talking down to me like I'm a stupid schoolgirl. Par for the course with you it seems.
You can argue it's "easily the most logical, commen sense & rationale decision to make" until you're blue in the face. I just don't happen to agree with you as I've said.
So answer me this SB - if 'Arry had gone all out for the 2nd goal but Villa had gone on to win the game instead would you still say it was the best plan of action? Or would you have condemned him for it and complained he'd lost us at least the 1pt we had while it remained 1-1?
Losing at Villa would have meant we'd have had no choice but to go all out for a win v Fulham on Sunday, with the dangerous consequences that could have had. Lots more pressure on us for a start and it could have backfired big time and seen us either lose or draw. How much more gutting would that have been if the Goons had only drawn at West Brom?
