Liverpool Message Board
I thought it was a very entertaining game and the perfect way to end a season.
West Brom staff and supporters acted like ladies and gentlemen and their team deserved to draw.
The whole Man Utd board is beyond crazy at the moment, more like a kindergarten.
Not sure too many posters across there know what football is.
FABONGRASS, let me suggest you buy a copy of the rules of football.
Then you would understand that a foul can be awarded regardless of whether a player gets a touch or even touches the other player. Intent is enough.
"United were EPL champions before the Arsenal match kicked off, so what has that got to do with anything?"
It means that Utd had nothing to play for, no need to give a big effort.
As to the penalty, look in the newspaper, it was given and scored. So was Walcott's goal, whichi was offside.
Which team are the EPL champions?
Answer on a postcard, please, pixie.
I was happy with a point, because you know what? The rest of the season doesn't matter, not for Utd. Just play out quietly, avoid injuries and have a great summer off.
I don't see what banning the guy will achieve.
Dave Steer posted that he might need professional help, I agree.
To ban him and let him come back without help would be cruelty on a par with bear baiting.
This is beyond football, IMHo.
Dave, thanks for the kind words. I do wonder how many ex-pros have real problems that we never hear of and Gazza is an appropriate and poignant reference.
I can't really see the point of the FA punishing him for this incident (probably Ivanovic can, as the 'bitee'), but pulling his registration for a period and making a return conditional on getting some some help would, IMHO, be more appropriate. If a guy does a crazy thing like that and can't control himself, what does banning him achieve?
You think deeply about things; could this be something resembling Tourette's, where he has an irresistible impulse to do something?
As an aside, I know someone who knows Evra reasonably well and the word is that the abuse really did happen - not wishing to re-open old wounds and argue water under the bridge, but it could be another symptom in a chain of behaviours, if you theory is correct.... and I can see where you are coming from, he may need professional help. And I'm commenting as a human being, not a (opposing) football club supporter.
I've just read one of the most stupid headlines in a paper - 'Bradford thrashed'
A league 2 team is beaten 5-0 by a useful premier league outfit, that ain't a thrashing in my book, it's the margin I'd expect at Wembley, with a large and true playing surface.
Although I'm a United fan, I'd just like to propose a toast to Bradford for finishing #2 in the league cup, true they don't get a trophy, but they have my respect for a sustained excellent cup run.
You are just a saddo, I feel sorry for you (but sorrier for your parents)
You probably like this sing, in fact it is likely your signature tune.
Now bog off, w*nker boy and stop trying to play with the grown ups.
"If it wasn't for a super rare Wellbeck goal United would have lost."
This guy FABONGRASS (more like HIGHONGRASS) is a complete cnut and fcukin idiot.
Now TW*TONGRASS, let me draw you a picture, if a team scores less than another team, they lose.
If a team scores the same as another team, they draw.
Now run along to the results pages and count how many Real and United scored each.
Don't overheat your brain.
The clip below is DICKHEADONGRASS seeking help after thinking about United's success too much
I agree that you deserved something against us. You were very unlucky at Anfield and played well at OT.
I also agree that you were all over City the other week and deserved to win that one, in fact I really enjoyed watching your team's performance, which was full of heart and intent.
If you play consistently, you can finish in the top 4 this year.
If Utd are 12 points clear at this stage, by virtue of stringing together quite a lot of ground out results, it shows how inconsistent the other teams have been and there is always a chance.
Next season, I expect Liverpool to make some further steps forward and start to be a more serious challenger over the whole season.
We played well today and Everton were not the poor team the ABUs say they were.
They didn't stop trying until the end.
Neither did we and 2-0 was a fair and good result.
Bitter and sad ABUs.
Just an observation.
Last season, we drew 4-4 with Everton in the corresponding match.
If we had won 4-3, we would be champions.
Everton are not a team to trifle with.
"The vast majority of us on both sides are normal, decent people who happen to support two different clubs."
Very true. And where would we be without different clubs to play each other and compete for the league and other competitions?
If I ever meet any of the Lpool supporters on this board, it would be my pleasure to buy you a pint and have a post match chat.
I have no time for the morons who insult each other.
