    Gunners go crashing out

Maybe it's a good time to see what Van Persie is thinking? Would he be a player Kenny would be interested in? Would a bid from Anfield be successful as the summer approaches? Just a thought....

    "monkey chants from your fans"

It was 1 idiot who will be dealt with. Let's not exaggerate and inflame the situation. As the huge majority of LFC fans will agree, there is no place for any abuse of players, racial or otherwise. please take your inflammatory comments elsewhere.

Well ? Still holding the same opinions about MON? Three wins and a draw in the last five matches. An unbelievable defending display against Man City. And to win it too at the death?? Great stuff. Couldn't see Steve Bruce managing that !!

And please, at least spell the man's name right when writing about him in connection with your club.

    Highly, highly, HIGHLY disappointing...

No point in getting into the usual Pool v Utd slanging after only one game of the season. If the Utd supporters are on here posting their usual nonsense then they must be clearly worried about the season ahead. After last season, L'pool are coming from a long way behind, but I do expect them to be challenging for a top 4 spot. The opening game against the Black Cats there were several positives and it was just the result that was disappointing. If Carroll's goal had been allowed then the mood on these boards would be slightly different? For me, I reckon Suarez would have been better playing the last 30 minutes to open a tiring Sunderland defence, and Henderson possibly the same. However, next week's game is important as it is probably Arsenal that we intend to replace in the top 4 by the end of the season.

LFC - £20m Downing deal confirmed

Yeah, I agree. A lot of money for Downing. Would have preferred Ashley Young to be wearing the L'pool shirt to be honest, but Downing is a reaqsonable player. I wonder if that will be the last of the signings for L'pool? I know I would like to see a strong left back brought to Anfield for next season.

    An Insight into May 2010

    Let's be honest...

Liverpool may have lost today but surely Arsenal are the only team in the Top 4 that can be happy with their performance ! Man Utd played at home against relegation favourites and only just won - they weren't very good today ; any other top ten team would have beaten them. Chelsea could only beat Hull City in injury time - not a great start for the bookies' favourites. Liverpool were awful today and they certainly didn't deserve a win.

No doubt, the Reds were poor today - really didn't deserve to win the game. BUT ManUre were lucky with the 'draw' for the match schedule - they were awful today ! Any decent team would have easily beaten them - but new boys Birmingham didn't have enough in the tanks. And the story will be the same at Turf Moor midweek. Arsenal are looking good after week 1.

    Degen.Voronin,Dossena WHY?

    by LFC fan Aug 3, 2009 05:00

Rafa is giving these guys a chance pre-season to show something - that's the only reason. Voronin and Degen came in on fee transfers and Dossena was a mistake ! Problem is, no one else wants to take the trio off his hands ! The minute an offer came in for any of them, they would be off-loaded pronto !!!!

  • If some of the press reports are to be believed this morning, it would appear that the two Spaniards are now on the Utd radar (despite Ferguson saying that he wasn't going to buy any more players this summer !) That would be a bitter blow to Liverpool fans - I would think that the Reds would need at least one of them. But I suppose with so much money at his disposal who could blame him. Part of me thinks he would try to get them just so that Rafa couldn't !!

Let's sum it up !!??? You did a poor job with that !!!!

...his 5 mates plead guilty - irrelevant to Stevie G's case

...Gerrard admits to being drunk - not a crime under British Law

...Gerrard admits to going back - not a crime under British Law

...Gerrard admits to throwing the first punches - firstly it was one punch, secondly, under British Law punching someone is not necessarily an offense.

Get the facts right before coming on here and spouting crap.

I suppose the only thing you got right was
    ...NOT GUILTY...hahahahahahahaha

'Unbelievable' that you can't spell 'unbelievable' correctly - but not surprising.

Sentenced to read a Primary School Spelling Book for two weeks !

Good luck to him - interesting move for Owen. What else was he supposed to do when he wants to play for England again ? He would have loved to play at Anfield again, but he had to settle for second best.

It'll be interesting to see the reception he gets from the Utd supporters too. Did they really want a Liverpool 'legend' playing for them ?

  • Another report in the media about Javier not liking England. Maybe its time Rafa sat down with him and Alonso to see what the best thing to do is ? Any point in having unsettled and unhappy players in the squad that needs to focus ? Although I dont want to see either of them leave Liverpool FC, I reckon the best scenerio might be that Real and Barca come in with big offers that would be hard to refuse, and use the money to replace those two (if that is possible ??).
