This is the best Spurs win of the season... still ecstatic!!!
Will be over the moon if Liverpool sinks Chelsea this evening.

    Should BMJ help?

We sure witnessed his "Class Act" on display last night against Chevski!!!

  • Given that Fulham plays Chelsea mid week, and Arsenal over the weekend, should Martin Jol help Spurs - if it's within his powers, by beating or drawing with our rivals?
Then again, given the circumstances leading to his embarrassing departure from WHL, would you ask him to help?
    ...I have my doubts.

  • Who do you reckon will better handle the immense attacking powers of Chelsea (being that 11 different players from Chelsea have scored so far this season), between Lloris and Friedel?

I personally will go for Hugo, for his outstanding recent performance (including saving a penalty), against the World and European Champions - Spain.

    Bolton to drop FA Cup?

I heard the first thing Muamba asked Coyle is "Did we lose".

I guess if we do beat Bolton, our lads will want to "carry the torch" for Muamba to the finals... and WIN!!!

  • After last Saturday's shocking events at WHL, will you support Bolton to pull out of the FA Cup?

Personally, I think they should go out there, and do it for Fab...
but as a "Selfish" Spurs fan, I want them to drop the FA Cup and concentrate on their league position.
That will be less games for us, given the lost ground that needs to be made up, and possible congestions.

    Am I too selfish?

    Fellow YIDs.

I don't comment often here, but older members know me.

I just pasted something on the Liverpool board, and wish to share it.
I might be wrong, but not totally out of step, and my irate mind wouldn't survive another minute, if this is not said...
    Please admonish me, if offended...

"I saw it on teletext on bbc friday evening"...

    Teletext. Does that still exist?

Anyhow, you should be VERY ashamed of yourself!
Liverpool has, and still is a City for all, where people of many colours and cultures meet and share common interests.

To hear DogFish (sorry, DogLeach, Dog... whatever) say that that Uruguay SawDust "shouldn't have been banned", made my CatFish shurn in my tommy.

It's a real shame that someone of this calibre and respect, could condone that brat's stupidity - right in front of the whole world.
Wasn't is the idiot that all of a sudden became a goalkeeper that denied Ghana of a quarter-final place in the last World Cup.
Or the Tyson-turned-footballer that was banned in Ajax for 12 weeks, for biting a fellow player's EARS.
Or the wicked-minded fool that almost ended Parkers career with a mindless midriff kick, just the other day?????????

It's absolutely ridiculous that a respected manager in the likes of Daglish, who was raised in Liverpool with Blacks, Chinese, Indians, ...etc can utter such comments - all in the name of football!!!

I'm not an LFC fan, but I'm utterley ashamed of my 7+ years living in Liverpool.

    OFF Modders

    Rambro.
That report is from "Caught Offside":
    http://www.caughtoffside.com/2011/08/22/chelsea-to-make-final-30m-plus-double-player-swap-offer-for-tottenham-star-luka-modric/

My belief is that if such deal is real, Levy should cash-in immediately.
If we not not allow Modric to leave this Summer, he will be useless to us, thereby making him worth much less in January window.
His heart is no longer here, so let him loose!

Benayoun is a much more versatile player in my books, and will perform wonderfully well, if his archiles problems does not resurface.
... Never know, this could be his lucky move!

  • With the latest planned offer from Cheski that will fetch Spurs 30mil, Benayoun, and Sturridge on a season-long loan, I'll say Bagger OFF Modders!!!...

We'll get Adebayor, Diarra, and Cahill / Samba, and still have some change left.
This will possibly be the best deal in European football, and I'll strongly suggest we rid ourselves of this ungrateful sulker - Modrich!!!

  • Real Madrid star striker Higuain is back in training, and may feature Saturday against Gijon, as well as Tuesday against Spurs.

Meanwhile, Ronaldo, Marcelo and Benzima are ruled out of the Spurs game.

... For some reason, I'm more scared of Higuain playing against Spurs, than the other 3 put together!

    Anyone shares this "Nightmare"?

  • Just checking Spurs' fixtures to see how the recent CL Draw affects us, and noticed our EPL match with Man City on the 17th April (right after the Spurs / Madrid at WHL on the 13th) is OFF.

    Any ideas why?
Besides it gives us a whole week before the Arses-nal visit WHL on the 20th.

Like they say "Every disappointment is a BLESSING"...
as in gunning down the Gooners once more!

  • Yep!
We beat Inter and AC to reach the QF, therefore we will beat Real and Barcelona (if they make it) to reach the FINALS.

    COYS!!!

    Easy now Beni.

Wrap up Kean and Crouch in an old Geordi cloth, and throw them far away!
    ... Then give me Carroll.

    C'mon!
This guy is very young, tall, pacey and strong... any defender's nightmare!
With his height and strength, what do we need langly Crouch for?

IMHO, sell off Woodwork (sorry, Woodgate) - he's passed his sell-by date.
Forget sentiments, we need a younger more reliable CB to work with Dawson, Kaboul, Bassong and Gallas!

Then, give matching orders to Bently, Krangjar (whatever), and JJ.
Bring in Diarra and pienniar - we need a hard working midfield, ready to chase any ball.
The 2 new additions with Hudds, Modrich, Palacious, Bale, VDV and Lennon, we'll have the best midfield in EPL.

    Coys!

  • What can I say...
We've done it before, we'll do it again!
    ...Just bring the MILAN.

To be honest, I'm quite looking forward to this encounter, and I'm also glad it's not a small side we'll face in the knock-out round.
    Reason...

Given a small team, the Spurs that I know will not put in their best.
Their complacent attitude will take over, and we will lose.

With a big team, the guys will play their hearts out!

    COYS!!!... We can do it!

If we top Group A, we'll play the 2nd leg at home.
This, I think is a better advantage than playing 1st leg at home.

  • "IF" we beat Everton on Saturday, will you rather Arsenal or Man City win on Sunday?

If Arsenal wins, we will all (Man City, Arsenal, and possibly Man U) be on 17 points.
If Man City wins, they'll remain 3 points ahead of Spurs, and Spurs will be 3 points ahead of Arsenal.

So. What's your take, and why?

I'll like to take you up on that top place challenge, when we get there in February!

  • An uncanny trend is begining to unfold in our EPL season:

    DRAW-WIN-LOSE, starting with Man City.

If this continues, our next 3 EPL matches will be:
    Aston Villa - DRAW
    Fullham - WIN
    Everton - LOSE

If it still continues, Spurs will end up with 52 points this season.
This will not get us a Europa place!

    COYS - Break the JINX!
