    Blatant robbery.......

I thought the commentary was particularly disgraceful, and it really does highlight the witch hunt against suarez. First, the commentator suggested that suarez deliberately stood on Distin's heel, when it was clearly mistimed and he was immediately apologising directly after the incident knowing that he caught him. Then when coins were being thrown at him in the corner by the Everton fans, the commentator said he shouldnt be highlighting it to the referee because it will inflame the situation. What is that about? Of course he should be telling the referee so he can include it in his match report.

Guys ..who deserved to win or not is not the question. The topic is it was a perfectly good goal which was disallowed.
Everton may have been the better side at half time but they didnt put it at the back of the net.. Liverpool did and it was a F*** up of a decision.

    Like wise for Chelsea
Like wise for Catani againts Juventus.

Refs favour United... thats a fact

    Why Steven Gerrard misfiring.

Gerrard has been awful. Its time for him to embrace the bench. Or play as a striker and Suarez can move to the right.
And Jonjo takng gerrards spot .

Good Teams have depth in their squad so the regulars are always under threat of loosing their spot for the hungry players and play their upmost every single game. If De gea was making as many mistakes as Reina is right now, do you think he would be playing.. SAF didnt include Nani in a game because he didnt play well in the first game.
Too many of Our players get away with poor performances

SG played like a defensive midfielder in the euros, .. its time for SG to grace the bench, he just been making too many errors i mean downing is useless but now days i have no confidence with SG on the pitch

Newcastle can F*%! off with their 12 million pound bid.
BR would have to be a total dumb@$$ if he accepts this.
Carrol is not worth 35million but to think we will give away the player is just blind hope in newcastles part.

rodgers should just keep in on the bench if he cant sell him, its about time LFC take a hard stance on letting players go on the cheap and paying over the odds when buying.

he was as headless as mr kuyt was in his hay days ! I think its time now for Gerrard to take his rightful place on the team, the bench that is.

Hope mr BR has big paird of B*llocks to put SG on the bench. CLose control football just dont fit the all action man.He was rubbish. gave the ball away too much.
Anyone miss Bellamy ? Downing at his absolute best as usual ! Hats of to the King for that one.

We should start with SG !!

Bolstering & Finalizing the Squad, ins/outs

hahah Hilarious ! Good one Jason !
some of the older fans here are resistant to change, especially the ones that still back Kenny. reading some of the comments from them it just seems like their bottom line is all about "Give em one more season" "He'll come good"!
I think BR has done well so far, He has handled AC situation pretty well, i think BR is more astute then Kenny and will get better price for players, wether buying or selling.

No previous managers have bought in players on loan, it was always been about extragavant spending. Spurs, arsenal, MU, Ac Milan have all bought in players on loan and their input helped the clubs a lot, think Adebayor, Henrik Larsson, Ibrahimovic.
I think its about time Liverpool are exploring these more cost beneficial options.

SO far what i have heard about Telo and Sahin joining on loan is very promising. More so about Telo but I follow Bundesliga, and Sahin was quiet good when he was still playing there.

Cole was rubbish as usual, too much bling not enough result i would say. I think Kenny got one thing right in trying to offload cole.
Gerro gave away posession too easily aswell.

Not sure what formation BR is going to play.. 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3,
If we play play 433, then definately need more adventerous midfielders, which we lack. Pre/post Benitez era, all our mf's bar Gerro has been reluctant to make runs into the box or venture forward. Very cagey imo. Mourinho played 433 with chelsea and you always saw Lampard and essien making the runs into the box and mikel/Makalele guarding the defence.

I think 4231 puts the main focus on the Striker and player playing just behind the main striker which is Gerrard. he excelled in that position back in 09, its been all downhill since then and i dont think he still got it, Perhaps its time for him to play deeper in midfield along side Lucas and Adam/Hendo,

I see the teams that play 433, it just seems they play more as a team then having a go to guy which in lfc case has been Gero. We need to minimise that as much as possible, the other midfielders need to be more involved in attack then just spreading it to the wings hoping they will create something

We need The Lord back !
Lord Heskey that is ! They say he can make onions cry which might help our forward line score a few this season especially if the opposite Keeper got tears rolling down !

To Humiliate the man they should put a Dogleash around him while being paraded. (just as should have been done to the previous 2 managers)

I Reckon i am Group 1 since i have often travelled 17000kms to go watch a game at Anfield and cheer for the lads a few times. I am not Particularly rich to say travelling that far with airfare or finding time from work is a piece of cake but not poor either so if thats not dedication then i dont know what is.
But to be fair i would consider me group 2 aswell because if the team is playing badly under a specific manager it dosent make sense to travel and see them loose although i still will watch on tv.

Dsteer & Merlin, I am not going to get into a pointless argument with you lads about Kenny. Because that would be wasting my time for trying to reason with KD fan club.Point is he did not do a good Job and got sacked just like a normal person would in a every day job. You just had to read the comments at the bottom of all the Yahoo & other news website articles to see that lot of lfc fans had lost faith in Kenny and wanted him removed.
I sure as H3ll didnt hear of people protesting outside anfield because of Kennys sacking, Like poeple did when the previous owners were trying to replace rafa with Klinsmaan. Perhaps your memory is a blur.. but seeing the amount of negative comments about kenny its fair to say majority of fans are happy to see KD removed and replaced with someone who looks like more tactically astute.
You can go on all you want now about Kennys record etc etc or what he said abt 3 years etc but at the end we were often outplayed by lot of Lesser teams because of Managers Tactics. so buying expensive flops was not the only flaw in kenny as was game tactics. Im sure David Dein formar arsenal DOF who was acting as a technical advisor to the owners pointed that out.

So you are confused are you about why the owners sacked Kenny Dalglish ?
lets see, maybe you dont watch all the games, but your beloved KD spent an awful lot of money in the region of 119 /110 million pounds (depending on which paper you go by) and those players did not live up to the expectation.
Kenny told the owners that it would take "Atleast 3 years to see improvement ? You kidding? this is the same team apart from Mascherano, Torres, Alonso that was challenging for the title and champions league semi final !!
Kenny needed to replae those 3 players.. dont tell me 119 million pounds could not get you 3 very good players.
That only shows which coaches were rubbish. Hodgson atleast identified Suarez and brought him along.
So hats off to the new owners for being proactive and not sit on their Ar$es and see another season of rubbush.

Anywhoo, its all in the past now but i had to go on a history lesson for you since you bring up the subject.
As for the new manager, he does seem more prudent then Kenny so i am looking forward to the next season.

ya its pretty funny i think how Hodgson picked Richards over Kelly. Richards miles better then kelly at everything.
buts its good for kelly it will give him more confidence. Though i dont understand why replace cahill with another rightback ?

  • Turkey_Slapper Turkey_Slapper Jun 1, 2012 04:11 Flag

There will need to be changes in the squad that have to be made if he is going to implement is blue print.
Honestly do you see a slogger like Carraghar or charlie playing tiki tka football ?
Carra will boot the damn thing as far upfield as he can , and adam plays better when we counter attack

the owners did have to payoff Kenny in the sum of 8million for the $hit job he did. replacing managers are not cheap you know. so i can see the point in getting a rookie coach who would not command a high salary. I would assume lot of our players would be on more money then the manager

    How can we compete with..

    by LFC_Armchair_Supporter May 29, 2012 09:51
    Turkey_Slapper Turkey_Slapper May 30, 2012 01:17 Flag

I would say the sheikh is worth probably lot more then that. He is a ruler of a country and they don't get recognition in forbes.
Anyway that's another issue. We can still compete if we buy the right players. Look at clubs without rich owners who still do very well Bayern Munich, Barcelona, arsenal, united, borrusia dortmund, Napoli.

It is about buildIng an institution that can operate itself. We already operate ourselves but we need a good scouting team and an astute manager who can buy the good players like Cavani, Aguerro, Falco before they become famous

He chose Chelski ! But i heard he failed the medical because they couldnt get his head through the door !

Freekin Dipstick, i have really enjoyed seeing good upcoming young players with potential like Silva, Nasri, Nani come in to the epl and make a name for themselves but this peice of Humble knob, i would love to see fail and being trolloped by the more physical defenders of the league.
