I think you were right and OT was chosen before. Villa Park must have been a last minute decision as the situation was only possible after the last game.
I was trying to watch it on Firstrow sports but it kept telling me to update Java or download some player. I gave up and just checked Spurs twitter page every now and then.
Have a good summer and I'm really hopeful Levy spends some serious money and gets AVB whomever he wants. Cheers.

I read that too. I bet Chelsea are hoping we pip the gooners!!!
Can't see the Lane being big enough for that, probably Wembley so the F A can get a slice of the money.

Hi NBR, don't understand why we have to play away in the final. We topped the premier division. I would have thoought that would have entitled a hoome draw in the final!

Sorry William, didn't mean to hit the abuse button. Apologies.
Us old Spurs can remember finishin above the Gooners regularly, but I can also remember being at the lane when you beat us 1-0 to win the league in 71 and then going on to win the FA cup. Copying our double of 60-61. Be interesting to see how the top 4 finish up this year. Any 2 from 4 for 3rd and 4th.

True Jeffall and I think they have 2 more games before we play Citeh. Could be 7 points behind by then, albeit with 2 games in hand. I really hope the squad are up for the fight. COYS

DerekW, everyone is entitled to their opinion but (ALbeit lasagne gate) Big MJ had done the same with a similar squad who were not at there peak, ie: Modric, and without VDV.
So IMHO all HR did was take us back to where we were before Juande Ramos.
Two seasons on the trot he cost the club money by not rotating the squad sufficiently and falling away regarding results after the January window. 12 points clear of the gooners and crumbling to end up behind them.
As I said he had us playing some great football at times but how could Levy keep a manager that was spouting about wanting the England job and refusing to sign a new contract when offered. (This was before his court case).
Once he was overlooked he took on a new rep, Rooney's one, and started trying to get what was offered before but with a bigger, longer contract.
I cannot see how he can be seen as charismatic, to me he's just a loudmouth man who's just so far up himself. He never admits he's the one at fault, it is the fans or the players or something else, but as I said, everyone has their own opinion and can obviously say what they feel.

Hi Ted and anyone else interested I just read a good article on Footballfancast.com, look up the Spurs page. Good article about HR entitled "a bit rich to blame tottenham isn't it?"
Certainly puts it better than I.
I see from ESPN that our EX-manager is now insisting that it was his Spurs contract that cost him the England job!! Apparently a £10 mill compensation clause had to be met by the FA.
Yes I truly thank him for the great football we played at times under HR but he just can't keep his mouth shut. I really am glad the man has gone, he's so up himself, It's never his fault, no matter what happens around him, he always blames somebody else's.
Very frustrating coping with Yahoo anyway, my e-mail has been compromised, now can't access my account ( security question they keep asking was supposed to have been changed as it was also compromised), can't check my broadband usage when I want, extra £5 on my bill last last month (without priar knowledge) for excess usage, etc.
Wish I could find somebody better, without having the hassle of changing my e-mail address etc.

Maybe that should have read "They grow up so quickly" JL goes time sure flies by as they grow. Every one who has children will remember how fast they grow up, doesn't seem that long ago my daughter was born yet she'll be 31 next Saturday. Get's married in October!!!
The older you get, the quicker time flies by, make the most of what you have while you have it.
Anyway after that nostalgia back to more with last nights great game. Just one more memory of Great Spurs nights in European football.

I'd say Siggy did that job last night very well, switching with Bale on the left. It was his cross that Bale scored from and he was in the middle for the tap in from Defoe's effort. He seems much more at home now than earlier in the season, must be why AVB didn't want to sell him in January.

Thankful for that!!! 2-1 great result, 3 more points, although others will point out how badly we played.

Let's hope it doesn't come and haunt us...Bale player of the month and AVB manager of the month.

John, it sounds a bit of a contradiction saying Walcott in the middle to use his pace and then putting Gallas in our back four. Not exactly the quickest but then nor are Vert or Dawson so I wish Kaboul was back. However I think maybe you're correct but we will miss either Vert's ball carrying ability or Daws passion. As long as we win, COYS COAVB.

Maybe Levi's trying to re-recruit him.
You're right AL, this new format is rubbish, I try replying to a comment from another poster and there's no reply button!! The posts end up all over the place, not in sequence at all. I just gave up
