    Bagnaia wins Italian MotoGP sprint as Martin falls

    Defending world champion Francesco Bagnaia of Ducati won the Italian MotoGP sprint at Mugello on Saturday, topping the podium ahead of Spanish pair Marc Marquez and Pedro Acosta.Second-placed former world champion Marc Marquez is back on form since his switch from Honda to Ducati-Gresini.

    Martin on pole for Mugello MotoGP

    Spain's Jorge Martin of Ducati-Pramac claimed pole position for the Italian Moto Grand Prix at the Mugello circuit on Saturday.The Italians Enea Bastianini of Ducati and Franco Morbidelli of Ducati-Pramac came in fifth and sixth.

    Bagnaia's perfect Italian MotoGP practice hit by grid penalty

    Francesco Bagnaia's perfect start to his home Italian MotoGP weekend ended on a sour note with a three-place grid penalty on Friday.But later he was penalised for impeding Alex Marquez which means at best he will start from the second row of the grid for Sunday's main event.

    Zinedine Zidane to signal 24 Hours of Le Mans start

    French football legend Zinedine Zidane will be the official starter for June's edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, race organisers announced Tuesday."Hailed as one of France's greatest sportsmen and one of the finest footballers in the history of the game, Zinedine Zidane has been named as the Official Starter of the 92nd 24 Hours of Le Mans," the Automobile Club de l'Ouest (ACO) said in a statement.
