Liverpool’s historic 7-0 victory over Manchester United, Arsenal’s dramatic comeback victory and Kylian Mbappe becoming PSG’s record goalscorer were some of this weekend’s highlights.

Arsenal needed injury time to overcome Bournemouth, and their victory was even more essential considering Manchester City had eased past Newcastle just hours previously.

Elsewhere, Napoli suffered a rare defeat in Serie A while there was some mascot chaos in Japan.

We’ve compiled 13 things that made us smile over the past few days.

Lionel Messi

701 goals. 299 assists. A mindblowing milestone.

Mohamed Salah

Salah sent Lisandro Martinez back to Ajax with a lovely piece of skill…

Roy Keane & Gary Neville’s reaction to Souness

Oh dear, lads. Little did you know…

Mark Goldbridge

Even United fans would’ve smiled at this.

Erling Haaland

You’d be daft to mess with him.

Arsenal

Mentality monsters.

Ben White

Pure savagery from the Arsenal and England defender.

Mikel Arteta

Caught up in the moment.

Ian Wright

It’s hard not to love Wrighty.

Kylian Mbappe

He became PSG’s record goalscorer at the age of 24. We feel unfulfilled.

Matias Vecino

It takes something special to beat this Napoli.

Phil Foden

Recreating that Ronaldinho ad.

Moise Kean

Kean was an 89th-minute substitute. He didn’t stick around for the full-time whistle…
