Not so long ago, stores like Topshop, Debenhams and Woolworths were a familiar sight on our high streets.
Here we take a look back at 14 things you could do in Sheffield over the last 20 years that you no longer can. These are sure to stir up some memories.

PEOPLE across the North East are being invited to a free festival this weekend which will show them how to make their money go further while being kind to the planet at the same time.
The British comedian was set to headline the health and wellness event, which is held across Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, in February 2024. However, he and the organisers of the festival mutually agreed to scrap his guest appearance after he was accused of rape and sexual assault over the weekend. "Due to the circumstances that have recently come to light, Wanderlust and Russell Brand have agreed that Mr Brand will not be appearing at the Wanderlust Festival."
Live music to suit all tastes is heading into Derbyshire venues. Pop stars are making tracks for Chesterfield, there’s a rock fest in Belper and a folk festival in Derby.
Anthony Sanchez, 44, protested his innocence as he was strapped down in the death chamber at the Oklahoma State Penitentiary in McAlester. While Sanchez maintained he had nothing to do with the 1996 killing of 21-year-old Juli Busken, he took the unusual step of opting not to present a clemency application to the state's pardon and parole board, which many viewed as the last chance to spare his life.
