The 2023/24 Premier League season is to reach its 12-game stage this weekend before players jet off for the final international break of 2023.
Wolves are at home and face Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday, who were involved in an entertaining London Derby on Monday evening, losing 4-1 to Chelsea. Aston Villa are in UEFA Europa Conference League action on Thursday night, and so their game against Fulham at Villa Park is scheduled for Sunday, November 12.
Both teams will be keen to finish the latest block of fixtures with a victory, ahead of what is a busy period with some midweek games to come in early December, as well as the festive period with some games played in quick succession. Squad availability is going to be key, but some players are at risk of missing their next match should they pick up a yellow card this weekend.
The rules are that any player that earns five bookings in the first 19 Premier League games of the campaign will serve a one-match ban. Yellow cards from the EFL Cup (Carabao Cup) or the FA Cup are not carried over. Matchday 19 of the Premier League is on Boxing Day, and so there is still several rounds of fixtures to get through to avoid a ban.
Several players have already missed out on some games this season, such as Mario Lemina who was sent off against Aston Villa in the West Midlands Derby at Molineux. To date, no Villa player has been dismissed in the league so far, but that doesn't mean that their players aren't at risk of a suspension.
Flick through to see which all the players in the Premier League that are one-game away from a suspension. A few players have already got five yellow cards, but received two in the same game, and so they'll be suspended if they pick up a solitary yellow card, but could face a further ban too. All information is based off of talkSPORT's disciplinary table.
