2017 Updated Fantasy Football Rankings: Running backs

Are Ezekiel Elliott, Odell Beckham Jr., and Thomas Rawls playing in Week 1? Is Sebastian Janikowski going to get cut? Will Joe Mixon and Kareem Hunt play more than Jeremy HIll and Charcandrick West? We have the latest updates on these players and more as you prep for fantasy football drafts and Week 1 rankings.

Welcome to our updated 2017 fantasy football rankings for running backs. These will change many times before you finalize your draft cheat sheets in August, but it's never too early to start trying to identify studs, sleepers and busts, especially if you're in keeper leagues.

The top three is tough argue, even if you argue the exact order, but everything after that is up for debate. As we see every season, guys come out of nowhere, especially rookies, and "sure-fire picks" flop. Trying to predict how that's going to go months before training camp can be an exercise in futility -- but that's not going to stop us from trying.

Quarterback | Wide receiver | Tight end

After Ezekiel Elliott's fantastic rookie campaign, guys like Leonard Fournette and Dalvin Cook will be popular, and while we have both ranked in our top 20, we should caution that their ultimate values will rely heavily on projected playing time. Opportunity and situation are immensely important, as we saw with Elliott, so don't assume perceived talent will automatically lead to huge fantasy numbers.
