3rd Australia-NZ Bledisloe Cup match set for Perth on Aug 28

SYDNEY (AP) — Rugby Australia has confirmed that the third Bledisloe Cup test between New Zealand and the Wallabies will be played on Aug. 28 in Perth, Western Australia.

The match was originally scheduled for Aug. 21 but has been put back by a week due to COVID-19 quarantine restrictions following the first two matches. Auckland's Eden Park will host both those games, the first on Saturday and the second a week later on Aug. 14.

Rugby Australia said the updated schedule for the four-country Rugby Championship which also includes South Africa and Argentina will be confirmed soon. That schedule is also being complicated by COVID-19 travel issues.

“The recent trans-Tasman bubble closure, New Zealand health orders and state border closures and lockdowns, have forced us to make number of changes but we’re incredibly excited about the schedule ahead," Rugby Australia chief executive Andy Marinos said in a statement Tuesday.
