5 Celtic transfer headlines as one deal over the line and at least three could follow
Celtic have today captured their latest summer signing and will hope to conclude more business before the window closes on Friday.
The Hoops are specifically looking to bolster in midfielder after selling Matt O'Riley to Brighton for a record fee. Manager Brendan Rodgers previously said he was looking to add in that area regardless and would sign TWO if the 23-year-old did move on, and there are a few names in the frame.
They could also add at centre-back while centre forward could be an options as well after the Northern Irishman told of his ideal scenario of three strikers. He currently only has Adam Idah and Kyogo but that is something that may have slid down the priority order.. Below are the current transfer headlines involving Celts.
Alex Valle
Celtic today confirmed the loan signing of the young Barcelona left-back. He has previously had spells in the Spanish Segunda Division with Andorra and Levante and will now challenge Greg Taylor.
Arne Engels
The Hoops are seriously interested in the 20-year-old Augsburg midfielder as they look to replace O'Riley. They had an initial £6.5million offer turned down before returning with £9m, but the Sun are reporting the Bundesliga will demand £10m, which would smash Celts' club record purchase. It's believed the Belgian wants the move.
Mateusz Bogusz
Celtic have also made their move for the Los Angeles FC player. It is though the current bid is below the MLS side's valuation but the clubs remain in talks. However, the Pole is in the squad to face Seattle Sounders tomorrow and has travelled with the team.
Auston Trusty
Another player the Hoops have an offer in for after submitting a £5million bid yesterday. He was in the bench for last night's cup clash against Barnsley and Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder has previously admitted his club will seriously consider offers.
Kyogo
Kyogo now looks unlikely to leave after links to Manchester City. He was reportedly on a two-man shortlist as a contrender to play back-up to Erling Haaland but is now thought Pep Guardiola WON'T look to add to his squad.
