Abdallah Sima Rangers transfer decision timeline as Brighton new manager plan close

Rangers are hopeful of bringing Abdallah Sima to the club on a permanent basis this summer - but Brighton are yet to make the decision.

The Seagulls recently axed manager Roberto de Zerbi and have been looking to replace the boss ahead of the pre-season for next term. The Premier League outfit are honing in on their new gaffer with 31-year-old Fabian Hurzeler set to be named head coach before the end of the week.

It's likely the German will want to assess the squad himself before any decision is made and that gives a clearer - if only slightly - indication of when Gers might expect a decision with the player expected back at the training ground sooner rather than later.

Gers boss Philippe Clement remains a big fan of Sima who scored 16 goals and provided two assists last season before injury struck.

Even upon his return from the sidelines the big hitman bagged a strike against rivals Celtic in the 3-3 draw.
