Ahmed Abdulla has signed for Dagenham on a short-term deal until the end of the season.

The midfielder made six appearances for the Daggers in January while on loan from West Ham but was released by the npower Championship outfit following his return to Upton Park late in the same month.

Daggers boss John Still moved to bring the 20-year-old back to Victoria Road, and he told the club's official website: "During Ahmed's spell here he showed that he was a very accomplished player, he impressed every member of staff with his passing and his commitment."

He added: "Since he returned to West Ham we've been speaking to him.

"We've now signed him on a short-term deal until the end of the season.

"I'm delighted to have him."
